Carney's answer on Canadians being attacked in Iran is unacceptable and his jobs numbers are crazy...
Plus, Doug Ford does the right thing on Al Quds Day.

Carney on Iran is becoming untenable…
I’m not sure why Mark Carney wants to keep comparing Canada’s job numbers to the Americans and claim that we are winning, but there he was again today. Both Statistics Canada and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released their respective employment reports for February on Friday morning.
High level numbers:
Canada lost 108,400 full-time jobs, gained 24,500 part-time jobs for a total reduction of 83,900 jobs and our unemployment rate increased to 6.7%.
The U.S. lost 92,000 jobs and has an unemployment rate of 4.4%.
You will note that my list of comparisons is not exact. That’s because StatsCan and the Bureau of Labor Statistics measure things differently. Canada’s way of measuring unemployment boosts the unemployment rate higher, but even after adjusting for those differences, our unemployment rate is higher.
The American unemployment rate of 4.4% if converted to Canadian measurements would be around 4.8%. So that means that the American unemployment rate is far lower than Canada’s and yet this is Mark Carney’s reply when asked about it today, say we are doing better than the Americans.
Carney’s use of a six-month metric is strange. We normally compare month over month of year over year.
Since February 2025 we have added 347,300 people to the working age of population of those 15 and older. Most of that remains an increase due to immigration, not natural population growth.
Of that increase of 347,300 people just 82,200 were added to the labour force, meaning those looking for work and 51,400 have found work and 30,400 have been added to the unemployment rolls.
These are not good numbers.
Oh, and the unemployment rate for those aged 15-24 jumped up from 12.8% to 14.1%.
These are not good numbers. Yes, some of this is caused by Trump’s tariffs out Washington, but not all of it.
When Mark Carney tells us we are doing well, that we are doing better than the Americans, he’s lying to us. The lies that we tell ourselves can be the most dangerous.
Why aren’t we being honest about the attack on Canadian troops…
On February 28, 2026 Iran sent missiles hurtling down on Ali Al Salem air base in Kuwait which houses Canadian military personnel. Remarkably, Mark Carney didn’t think he needed to tell Canadians about this.
Then he was asked about it after Montreal’s La Presse caught wind of the event and reported on it. You will note once again that when Mark Carney faces a tough question from a female reporter he is snippy and dismissive.
I wrote one of my columns on the response and Carney’s overall response to the war against Iran for the Toronto Sun on Friday. Give it a read, or at least hit the link so my bosses see that I have readers!
Anyway, this is another sign of Carney struggling to be a leader rather than a follower as I wrote about here.
Doug Ford acts when the City of Toronto won’t…
Two city councillors asked the City of Toronto to seek an injunction to ban the Al Quds Day rally from happening on Saturday.
If you don’t know about Al Quds day, congratulations to you. You are a normal and functioning person who isn’t filled with hate.
Started in 1979 by Iran’s Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the day is not “pro-Palestinian” as some of my media colleagues have said, it’s a rally to support Iran and call for the destruction of Israel. Iran’s only connection to the Palestinian cause is that they want to bring about the destruction of Israel.
It’s why Iran funded and backed Hamas in their 2023 attack on Israel. It is why they backed Hezbollah, a group that the Lebanese government has now banned after their Iranian sponsors have been weakened.
In 2018, Doug Ford promised to shut down Al Quds Day protests and he was able to keep them from rallying at Queen’s Park, the Ontario Legislature, but he had a hard time trying to ban them completely.
I’ve gone to some Al Quds Day rallies in Toronto and I’ll tell you it would be hard to shut them down. At times they are a collection of random people on the side of University Avenue in Toronto.
How do you organize to shut them down when you don’t know what they are doing?
This year they have been open and will be at the American consulate in Toronto to denounce the Americans for attacking Iran to protect the Western world, to protect women from being killed for not wearing their hijab properly, to protect citizens from protesting against the high cost of living.
I’m good with Doug Ford’s move here. Not sure if the injunction will be granted, but I support stopping people who support a genocidal regime from dancing in the streets.

Being able to lie and smile with authority is a talent the liberals have mastered. It works well enough to convince voters that no further fact checking is required. This is why we are where we are.
WEF Communist Cartel Carney needs to GO NOW! He works for The City of London, the Vatican and China.
