WATCH: Pierre Poilievre on Bloomberg TV this weekend...
An impressive appearance and much different than the interview with Joe Rogan.
There is a great interview that you need to watch below of Pierre Poilievre on Bloomberg talking about the leverage Canada has. He lays out a clear-eyed vision for dealing with the current troubles that is different than Mark Carney’s but once again, Poilievre doesn’t attack Carney on foreign soil.
Poilievre’s trip to the United States has gone off extremely well, even better than his European trip. He’s met business leaders in auto, energy, rail transport, finance and more.
As we learned from his appearance on Joe Rogan, he’s also been texting with Mark Carney and keeping him up to date on what he’s been up to and who he has been meeting with.
I’d say that’s a Team Canada effort.
The opening question in this interview with Bloomberg’s David Gura is who is Poilievre trying to reach, the American administration or the American people. Poilievre says the American people who he sees as liking Canada and Canadians are his real target audience.
There’s a lot of chatter in our country about how his real audience is Canadians.
When national leaders travel to foreign countries, that is often the case. That’s especially true when those leaders are giving speeches to niche groups that won’t generate too much media coverage in the foreign country but will be picked up by Canadian media back home.
This Bloomberg interview is good, but on YouTube only has about 52,000 views as I write.
By comparison the Triggernometry Podcast that he did in the U.K. has just shy of 750,000 on YouTube - that doesn’t count the podcast listens. More importantly, the Joe Rogan appearance currently has 2.1 million YouTube views - again that doesn’t count podcast listens on Spotify and elsewehre.
It’s Rogan’s most popular episode in months and while many of those listens will be curious Canadians, Poilievre has also hit a big American audience who lean towards Trump and MAGA. The sensible message they heard was tariffs are hurting them, making trucks and homes more expensive.
Back to Bloomberg, now he’s talking to a business audience.
Enjoy.

I just finished listening to the interview. Thank you.
I believe that he has laid out the best path for Canadians.
Pierre was excellent.
Of the many topics covered the most important to me is smaller government, less government spending, resulting in the support of a more capitalist society.
Well presented interview in a truly Prime Ministerial commentary. He hit all the right topics that should resonate with Canadians as well as Americans. This is leadership we need not what we currently have in Carney and the liberals.
