Back in 2013 two very smart men, Darrell Bricker and John Ibbitson, released a book called The Big Shift. You may have heard about it and the predictions it made about power in Canada shifting to the suburbs and shifting to Western Canada.
It also popularized the term “Laurentian Elite” which is used by so many of us and despised by the Laurentian Elite, especially those in the media.
Now they have a new book out called Breaking Point: The New Big Shifts Putting Canada at Risk.
I had the chance recently to sit down with both of them for a long form interview about the book and their ideas. We talk about where Canada is, where it is going and what to look for.

Where is all the money going? kebek takes over 50%, every single year. Governments = All lies daily $$$. Crooked and corrupt to the core, all of them. Liberal, Tory, same old story. Kebeks Charter = 10s of billions stolen out of Ottawa yearly and funneled into quebec and other metis (they are not french) – towns and companies, all across the country every year, all disguised as grants, subsides, equalization, transfers, bilingualism (code for french) – only outside quebec while kebec bans our language, history = bills 22, 178, 101, 96. Multiculturalism (only outside kebec), massive government growth, control, censorship, surveillance, taxes and debt. Canada now just liberals masquerading as conservatives, the rest, communists masquerading as liberals. ’French power’ in all provinces. They are revising, eliminating our BNA history all over the country as they rename, remove all things English, Scottish. Election fraud? YES, guaranteed. Why? Simple, they lie about everything. Welcome to Marxist - commie Canada where your vote is meaningless. Why? Bigoted = Socialist = marixst = commie = kebec runs the nation. This IS the problem, and No party, NO ‘leader’ will touch it. ‘Cons’ Poliver, Ford ?...nothing, not a word. “First quebec, and Ottawa and then the entire country…” ‘french power..." I enjoyed hearing these two authors being interviewed. As a canadian who has lived abroad for 45 years, i have noticed a huge shift in canada that was not mentioned in this interview. Canadians have prided themselves on "not being a melting pot like that horrible usa" down south. However, during the trudeau regime, the pop. of canada was increased from approx 30M to 40M (don't hold me fast to those exact numbers.) if you include that no one in canada thought these folks should assimilate and develop some canadian patriotism...well you got a big problem there. Add to that, that canadian education programs, cultural normals, and govt indoctrination has convinced more than half the country that they are evil colonizers. Convinced the indigenous people that they are just pathetic victims....at the same time that the govt did nothing to help the indigenous people with their very real problems, like clean drinking water...ok...i won't even touch on the murdered children story... add in trucker convoy division, hatred of antivaxxers, covid lockdown division, DEI policies designed to create division...the new trendy hatred of jewish people and christians. how does this kind of "nation" come together with a cohesive plan that everyone can sign on to? So much easier to point south and say: orangeman did it...or even if you are half awake: trudeau did it...no...canadians did it to themselves. It was a great country. But now, after years of penitent land acknowledgements, you are also going to have the legal battles over indigenous land claims...not looking good for canada.
