Trump's judo move on Epstein, Larry Summers embarrassed, and Mark Carney's Swedish dreams...
Plus, drug laws are a form of colonial racism.
The U.S. House of Representatives has voted 427-1 to pass the Epstein Bill that will force the release of many, but not all government files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
The bill specifically states that within 30 days after the law comes into force, the government shall, “make publicly available in a searchable and downloadable format all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in the possession of the Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States Attorneys’ Offices.”
The bill stipulates that the files to be released pertain to Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, corporate entities, non-profits, basically any entity that was involved with Epstein. It also calls for records related to his death to be released and of course the infamous flight logs.
“Flight logs or travel records, including but not limited to manifests, itineraries, pilot records, and customs or immigration documentation, for any aircraft, vessel, or vehicle owned, operated, or used by Jeffrey Epstein or any related entity,” the Bill states.
As I write, the Bill has only passed the House and not the Senate, though that could happen tonight under an expedited passage.
So if the House voted 427-1 in favour then who is the one person who voted against this?
The answer is Representative Clay Higgins of Louisiana, a Republican and no, he didn’t vote no to protect Epstein, it’s about the victims he says.
“If enacted in its current form, this type of broad reveal of criminal investigative files, released to a rabid media, will absolutely result in innocent people being hurt,” he wrote on X.
You can read the whole statement below.
Just to be clear, the Bill doesn’t call for all documents to be released, or released in full. There will likely be some innocent people hurt by this including victims, informants etc. but not everything will be released in full according to the text of the Bill.
Let’s hope the innocent are protected.
Did Trump just do a judo move to get these files released…
For years Donald Trump campaigned on getting the Epstein files released. When he became president again he released some documents and then said that was enough.
The whole time that Trump was talking about the Epstein files, including while he was president, the Democrats reacted by asking, “Why is he still talking about this?” Once Trump said he didn’t need to release anything further, the Democrats demanded things be released and Trump has spent the past few months asking, “Why are they still talking about this?”
Last week, the Democrats released thousands of pages of documents from the Epstein files with several mentioning Trump.
The thing is, they mention Trump but they don’t indict him, they don’t show wrongdoing. It’s other people talking about Trump or in the case of a journalist and a Democrat politician, conspiring with Epstein on how to make Trump look bad.
I’ve been saying for some time now that I doubt there will be anything in these files to implicate Trump, or even Bill Clinton, when it comes to the Epstein files. If there were dirt on Trump being at the island or with underage girls that Epstein set him up with then those would have been out by now, especially before November 5, 2024.
It didn’t happen, it likely won’t.
Poor Larry Summers wishes he never talked to Epstein…
Larry Summer served in the Clinton administration as Treasury Secretary and in the Obama admin as Director of the National Economic Council. He also served as the President of Harvard University and everyone’s favourite progressive economist.
He was a favourite of the Trudeau crew who quoted him, cited him and adopted his policies. Summers would pen favourable op-eds about Trudeau’s policies in American media which would then be used by Trudeau and crew as proof that they were on the right path.
Larry Summers also asked Jeffrey Epstein how to get “horizontal” with a Chinese economist and professor at the London School of Economics who is also closely tied to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
This wasn’t decades ago before people knew what kind of pervert Epstein was, the emails were from 2018 and 2019.
In releasing these messages, the Democrats have taken out one of their own bright lights who has now stepped away from public commitments.
“I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein,” Summers said in a statement.
As Representative Higgins put it, lots of people will be hurt by this including many who, unlike Summers, are actually innocent.
Mark Carney’s Swedish dreams could be Canada’s nightmare…
Maybe you saw that Mark Carney welcomed Sweden’s King and Queen to Canada today. Did you know Sweden had a King and Queen?
If I did know that, I’d forgotten because who thinks about Sweden when they aren’t in Ikea.
Today, Carney welcomes King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia to Ottawa. Despite being royals, they are essentially sales reps for Saab who want to sell their Gripen jet to Canada.
Maybe you’ve heard that Saab wants to let Canada build their jets in Canada and is promising 10,000 jobs. If you think that is a good idea and a good argument then I ask you to read my column on this issue in the Toronto Sun today because I rip it apart.
If Carney goes ahead with this, we will never get 10,000 jobs from Saab but we will see massive job losses.
Oh, and by the way if Canada cancels their F-35 contract, the Saudis and others will quickly snap them up.
Drug laws are racist and a vestige of colonialism…
The Human Rights Commissioner of British Columbia says that drug laws are about colonialism and racism and we need to make it easier to get drugs.
I wish this were fake, watch and leave a comment below.

Drugs law are racist ?
BC politicians are … beyond reason.
10000 jobs is a bit optimistic but being able to build a Canadian military aviation sector again is gold. Plus, Gripen is the better fighter.
