The Gad Saad interview: How the West is killing itself...
Is there a cure for Suicidal Empathy? Dr. Saad says yes, but questions whether we will act to reverse course.
Dr. Gad Saad has been making headlines lately for all kinds of reasons.
He’s been doing the interview circuit promoting his book Suicidal Empathy: Dying to Be Kind. The book is a warning about how in our desire to the empathic and kind, Western civilization is killing itself.
“Civilizations do not die by murder, they die by suicide... what we’re doing in the West is committing civilizational seppuku via suicidal empathy,” Saad told me when we got together virtually last week for another interview.
The longtime professor and evolutionary behavioral scientist at Concordia University in Montreal is also making headlines for his decision to leave Canada. Citing among other reasons, rampant Jew hatred in this country, Saad and his family are moving to Oxford, Mississippi where he will join the faculty of the University of Mississippi.
Yes, as I’ve pointed out before, Jews in Canada feel more at home in small town Mississippi than in places like Montreal or Toronto.
“One of the main reasons I decided to move to Ole Miss, despite the fact that I had many other universities that were courting me, is I got there and the love that I felt, the hospitality that I felt was so great,” Saad told me in our interview last week.
We talk in the interview about how Canadians sneer at places like Mississippi or Georgia and yet we have doctors, professors and lawyers from this country moving there.
Also in the discussion, topics like immigration and cultural relativism which he says are closely linked.
“The open border immigration policy… is the ultimate form of suicidal empathy,” he said.
We also talk about the giant tax bill the federal and Quebec governments are handing him as a kind of exit tax.
I’m not overstating things when I say that in losing Gad Saad, we are losing a very bright mind, a cultural scholar and critic, a man who thinks deeply and cares deeply about this country.

Suicidal empathy is affecting most Western nations and it will be our undoing. Those of us who can move are making plans to leave now. We must reverse course and stop the immigration.
This is a structured movement to destroy everything the west stands for, and to replace it with something foreign. The west stands for democracy, freedom, rights, tradition, order, and peace. Unfortunately, modern liberals have destroyed these foundations, through centralized control. All of our institutions are controlled by the liberal mindset. The courts lean left. Healthcare leans left. Education leans left. This is what control over society looks like, and when people push back they are called racist or bigoted. It suddenly became ok for mothers to murder their children, for criminals to be released on bail, and for men to become women, as well as use their washrooms/play their sports. It is now okay to send millions upon billions of dollars in foreign aid to other countries, while your own suffers from inflation. It is happening all around Europe, North America, and Australia. This is called managed decline and forcing people to accept it is authoritarian. The west has become institutionalized by radical liberals.
