There is a lot going on in the world at the moment, some of it seems crazy, much of it seems unconnected. Yet, if you look closely there are connections all over the place.
We are in a war of sorts between the United States and countries such as China and Russia. It’s not a shooting war at this point, but both sides are trying to expand and/or protect their spheres of influence.
That’s how the Maduro arrest connects to China’s expansionist ambitions, to the transnational drug trade, to the fight over who controls a place like Greenland or the Panama Canal and what it all has to do with the seizure of a Russia ghost ship transporting Venezuelan oil.
