I was looking for a new book to read, I think I found it.

Don't Be Canada: How One Country Did Everything Wrong All At Once

A shocking, darkly hilarious exploration of how Canada, a country once admired for its stability and moderation, became a global cautionary tale.

Drawing from real headlines, deep research, and extensive interviews, acclaimed journalist Tristin Hopper uncovers the bizarre missteps and policy experiments that have helped Canada set new global standards for disfunction. The examples are legion: the real estate bubble that never bursts, Orwellian internet regulations, harm reduction policies that escalate harm, official health guidelines that recommended the use of glory holes in a pandemic, and a runaway euthanasia system that inspired the Wall Street Journal to declare, “Welcome to Canada, the Doctor Will Kill You Now.”

As sobering as it is comic, Don’t Be Canada examines the cascading consequences of extreme policies and tells the tragic story of a country that took its wealth, tolerance, and functionality for granted.

If the Liberals or Liberal Canadian’s want to understand Trump, read his book The Art of the Deal. Just as if Canadian’s want to know who Carney was before giving him their vote, they should have read his book, Value’s. Or the fact he lacks any values at all unless they land in his bank account. Hello Canada and Canadian’s wake up.

Neither his book or his work with the World

Economic Forum was allowed to be discussed whatsoever in the Canadian media during the Liberal leadership race or the federal election. If Pierre Poilievre had written a book about anything it would have been used against him and the conservatives 24/7 to run him out of the country. Our mainstream media is very much to blame for what has happened to Canada, and in the absence of any consequences to the Teflon liberals - said media should be held responsible, until such time as the liberals can be euthanized and Canada put out of its misery.

Its extremely off putting that Doug Ford seems to want to talk for me even though I live in BC and never put a vote for or against him. If he wants to play Mr. Dressup, as Prime Minister, he should run for federal office. I'm not surprised by his current anti-American domestic political play. I hear that strategy every week when I listen to the narcissist Kory Teneycke bloviate about it on the Curse of Politics.

As for his interaction today it showed Ford to be intellectual vacuity. While I might agree that Doug winning is impressive that is only half the job. His legacy is shaping up to be managing decline, just like the Liberals before him.

You are too kind

Personal attacks are so petty and juvenile.

Condescending superiority complexes do not inspire confidence.

Hatred has funny ways of demonstrating ugliness.

Too bad.

After reading your posts all I can ask is you get help for whatever issues you have. My post was pretty innocuous. Have a good evening.

I am in Ontario, and canvassed for the Ford government in 2018 to get rid of the disastrous McGuinty/Wynne liberals. Griff is 100% correct. I promise you I will work with every breath in my body to get Ford out in the next election.

Liberal/NDP misinformation supported by the legacy media, funded by a green slush fund and delivered by a late night latex tear.

I'm still looking for the constituents of Canadian politicians. Whom do they answer to? Where do those people live? Would I be allowed to talk to them, if I learn to speak their language?

My friends wonder, too. To me, it looks like in Ottawa, they are "fishing with dynamite." I know one lawyer who expects to see to vigilantism erupt in Canada simply because even in the most primitive human cultures, justice is one of the most basic requirements for human communities to remain civil.

The politicians know this. So, what are they REALLY doing? Sure smells funny to me.

They have removed the ability to own firearms.

Even stealing-back your own can will result in charges - and don’t even think about defending yourself or your family.

I can’t accept the agenda’d incompetence and malfeasance and believe you are willfully ignoring it. Sad.

Canada is Tits Up eh!

Personal attacks are so unbecoming.

It certainly demeans the comment.

Didn’t Carney say ‘ Muslim values are Canadian values’? So I guess you get the odd whack jihadist constituent…. A vote is a vote , when you sell your soul.

Yes. Our forefathers are rolling in their graves.

Not only did carney have no deal with America, Carney has no deals with UK and Europe, no deal with China and India, no deal with Mexico except for fentanyl which Mexico agreed to let Carney produce fentanyl in Canada to distribute in both Canada and US. Carney has NO DEALS WITH ANY COUNTRIES because no one will make a deal with a LOSER! Everyone wants to deal with TRUMP because he’s a winner. And so Carney will just focus on stealing public funds here in Canada since Canadians are a bigger losera than Carney by letting the liberals steal money with ease! Carney and the Liberals fondly calls Canadian as the “baaa or blaaa” people, meaning coward and meek sheeps👍

Informative article as always! Thank you.

Canada cannot continue to follow the path they are on. It is a path to total irrelevance. Carney cozies up to the EU but when the EU signs a trade agreement with the USA (including an LNG agreement, sorry Carney), they will dump Canada like a 2nd rate date at the Friday dance. You can virtue signal all you want and bitch and moan about Trump, but Trump didn’t cause your problems. He is a convenient boogeyman to deflect from the failures of 10+ years of Liberal incompetence. Wallow in your ignorance or get up like the prodigal son and realize you have squandered your fortunes, are in a pig pen and repent and change your ways.

The US is the best friend Canada has, Trump or no Trump. The EU and UK barely register Canada’s existence, and they have beaucoup problems of their own. There won’t be any major trade deals there. China is a pure predator. They care nothing about Canada other than using it as an outpost to further their ambitions.

Canada’s response to Trump was to come across as even more unhinged and angry than Trump himself, when we could have remained calm, bit our tongue and negotiated the best deal we could. Now we’ve pissed Trump and many other Americans off so badly they have zero incentive to deal fairly with us.
