How anybody thought a spineless little squeaky wimp could stand up to Trump or anybody is beyond comprehension

Maybe it’s good Carney hasn’t negotiated a deal for Canada. Given his track record Canada would come out the loser.

Carney existed inside a safe little bubble where his title did the talking for him. He thought the same would hold as PM. Now he finds a lot of people are talking back, loudly and persistently. Even his media toadies can't protect him from Trump, Poilievre and millions of Canadians who don't worship the ground he walks on. He's a little grumpy over this uncomfortable environment.

Happy to see your column focussed lately on important issues that most Canadians have no clue about. Thanks Brian.

So how does Carney still stay in power. His party has the option of making him step down like Trudeau.

Hes killing Canada .

It feels like were at a stand still. People need jobs. Food prices are going up and he doesnt seem to get it. Or he gets it but cant do a thing about it. Hes doomed.

Were like fish out if water..

Great podcast

Carney has a majority after dumpster diving and found 5 MPs in the back alley willing to sell themselves. He's safe. Just like Trudeau was until there was an election on the horizon and his vast unpopularity pretty much guaranteed a Liberal defeat. Then the MPs rebelled to oust him.

The Liberals do not have that option - they didn’t opt in, or opted out, or whatever it was.

Call me cynical, but considering how quickly Carney caved on the Island Airport expansion ...

Notwithstanding his spineless cave to Eby to get him on-board with a pipeline from Alberta, will they *both* cave once First Nations along with various and sundry green-mongers start whining?!

He caved over the airport to hold support for the upcoming byelection only. When it's over, he'll change his mind if it helps Brookfield in any way (when he sells it to them).

Canada is blessed, having such a bunch of losers running the country.

On a side note: One thing that nobody is talking about is I wonder if they anticipated ice buildup on those cables which can lead to ice bombs during the winter. It happened in BC where ice bombs were falling on cars causing significant damage. Trump will be screaming about it if it happens.

Canada should introduce a new toll for pedestrians and cyclists (who cross for free) targeted at Americans now that Canada is being robbed of 50% of toll revenue for 15 years. Not to mention the US got a FREE BRIDGE

Carney hasn’t got the balls for that.
