I don’t get the support for Chow?! Why do people support failure? I guess it’s like those who support Carney. The talk is good, but where is the actual evidence of success? People like tent cities and discarded needles?

The CCP has ALOT to do with BOTH of them..

Bradford puts services before ideology and he doesn’t dance.

Not from TO (one son living in downtown area though). but her track record is abismal, as is her “goody two shoes” personality. Transit is a joke. What happened to real leadership. Toronto has great possibilities and attracts people from business and tourism (and the rest of Ontario/Jays/Raptors😉). But it’s more than aggravating navigating from one end to another. GO train is good… when it’s operational.

But Chow treats it like a playground for children.

This made my day! I love that Brad brings a strong background in Urban Planning, I love that he has a healthy vision for Toronto, and I love that he is always honest and respectful, this is not to be taken for granted in today’s politics. We need him as our next mayor and we need more leaders like him in Canada.

K Brooker's avatar

Exactly! We got rid of our woke mayor in Calgary and many of the councillors and everything is looking better!

A Mayor alone is no driving force for change as the incumbent councellors and bureaucrats will stimmy any course correction away from their leftist ideals, no matter the sense a change would make. As Lilley says, the rest must soon follow and it's up to us to make it so.

And she’s a NDP like her deceased husband. They loved in rent to income housing and explained it away because they were paying full rent. It didn’t seem to occur to them that this was rent to income housing that other families needed. They could have afforded regular rent, but they believed they were ENTITLED

Right.. they both made very good money..and could afford a condo or something.

They took the least expensive way. Interesting

..she's a twit..

Lol..yes, loves to dance...

Bradford has my support. You should vote for him. I am happily 80 km away from Toronto.

Martin Dixon's avatar

A nice safe distance. 100km for me. And articles like this remind me regularly why I am so glad I got out. Ridiculous overrated city inhabited by a lot of smug arrogant folks like this guy. Present company excluded of course.

"Factor in the city’s cultural attractions — pro sports teams, low-, mid- and high-end cuisine, arts, world-class hospitals and universities, street life and so on — and Toronto, outside a pandemic, is an undeniably happening place to be. All the things that make the city desirable make housing there expensive and price surges not entirely logical, but at least explainable.

Brantford, in comparison, has a giant Wayne Gretzky statue."

Funniest response I got from another site:

“You couldn’t pay me to live in that shit hole. People pay to drive around it ffs.”

If Toronto votes for Chow it is proof positive that Torontonians have lost the plot.

Joke: What's the difference between a politician and a prostitute?

Answer: A prostitute is honest about why they’re taking your money.

How could ANYONE vote for English-language bastardizing, academically-inferior Chow❓—OR maybe she’s getting the Asian vote, the gays, the mentally challenged, the dancing fools who accompany her in costume @ various causes, Palestinians bc she flew their flag @ City Hall, heroin/crack addicts bc of TO’s safe injection sites & addicts using the TTC as shelters

Barbara Carmichael's avatar

The mayor is supposed to be a mayor for all Torontonians. She loves the Palestinians and dislikes the Jewish population. I HAVE A PICTURE OF HER MEETING WITH PALESTINIAN TORONTO POLICE. WHENEVER SHE IS INVITED TO A JEWISH EVENT SHE ALWAYS HAS AN EXCUSE, SUCH AS SHE WAS AT A BIKE LANES MEETING, etc.!!!!! She is a very prejudiced person. If she wins, she’ll be back to putting on costumes and dancing about. BTW! Sankofa does not mean peace.

Hey...she sounds alot like Justin

"is a much more well known commodity and while she retains popularity, her negatives are also high."

..even without looking at her, you know where her "popularity" comes from..(looking only confirms it..

Chow thinks that all the citizens of the city have to do is hold hands and smile at each other and you will have a wonderful city. I cannot imagine this woman being reelected and as Brian has said most of the lefty councilors have to be shown the door as well. The city is a mess and none of them are cleaning it up. Vote them out!!!

It is high time we rid ourselves of the entire bolshevic mob at City Hall, starting with the Mayor. I for one am sick and tired of the same old cliches, slogans and gas-lighting by these people hiding behind their failures and, who as a group generally, don't seem to be making a positive difference to me personally. If more can realize that then they're done. And good!

Verna Scott's avatar

Actions speak. I cant not vote, but i read in the paper daily negative news about services that are being neglected in TO.

Snow removal, garbage, homelessness..people sleeping on the streets. Plus other necessary services not up to par.

People dont like change and when something isn't working. Its time to change, hopefulky for the better.

Hes got a degree in urban planning ..important...the last few mayors have been lawyers..

Mayors are to be impartial, and include all its citizens. Chow, doesn't do that..

ELIZABETH CLOUTIER's avatar

I’m for anyone who puts services before ideology, I for one have seen enough this trend. We need real services to work for the good of all, not for a chosen few.

Chow is a walking disaster. THANK GOD I don’t live in hog town anymore. Get out while you still can!

It’s not a matter of loving or hating Toronto. It is the fact that Chow is leading in the polls and has a chance at reelection just makes those of us watching from outside shake our heads and write it off as crazy town.
