The majority that have walked away were liberals posing as conservatives and were not looking for the hard work of cleaning up a province that is arguably beyond saving. KLF is the Little Red Hen. She'll bake that cake come hell or high water; then when everything is looking like BC might not implode, all the naysayers will come back for a piece and say they were with her all along. She hasn't done anything yet that conflicts with her campaign platform. It's not her judgement that needs to be questioned; it's everyone who signed up to run and didn't realize this is do or die for the province of BC. Check the egos and the simplistic politicking at the door.
This recent expulsion is proof Kerry-Lynne Findlay is revamping the BC Conservatives party.
What she said in her X post is a purge of the rotten elements, which have been the woke of the woke like Warbus, and the Liberal retreads like Rustad, Milobar, Paton, Banman, etc.
This also confirms those same rotten elements were the cause of the rebellion against Rustad, and Findlay.
What I see is the result of a "big tent" party, which Rustad made. The Liberal retreads with the woke, and real Conservatives. Such a tent will never work, no cohesion in beliefs, principles and values.
What is crucial in this purge is a correct plan, executed in a timely manner for it to work. Unless you are on the inside close too Findlay, no one can tell the outcome, not even Brian Lilley.
I think Findlay is best for B.C. but there are forces (not unlike Trump) that will do ANYTHING to destroy common sense & people who want to put us all back on track. It's disgusting!
The BC Conservatives have a problem. They aren’t Conservatives. Under Rustad they joined forces with BC United. These guys like Rustad were just the old BC Liberals which was a coalition of the Liberal and old Socred parties. Thus this BC Conservative Party isn’t all that Conservative and more than likely that’s probably the main issue. If you want actual Conservatives you might check out BC One.

Two of those individuals call for her resignation in the middle of a bye-election during an emergency caucus meeting. Those two were John Rustad and Claire Rattee. It was also reported, by the Western Standard, that Trevor Halford was actively organizing a coup to remove her as leader. This is one of the only times KLF acted decisively. You cannot have people actively questioning leadership, and campaigning to oust the leader, in caucus.
I'm not going to get into faux debate about who is a 'liberal or who is a 'conservative'. The more honest take is that what is happening to the BCCP is both a mixture incompetence and and sabotage.
Incompetence by KLF and her team, from the start. KLF husband should have resigned his seat for her to run. There were some awful hires of course. She never took full control as leaking started right away
Sabotage by certain disgruntled MLAs and political operatives behind the scene that never wanted her in leadership. When I say political operatives I don't mean people like Kory Teckneyke. This reference is to the old BC Liberals operatives largely located in Vancouver (the power center of BC). Think the 'White Spot Meeting' that reportedly happened a few weeks back.

Caroline Elliotts brother in law, Kevin Falcon, was the leader of the BC LIBERAL party when he fired John Rustad for not promoting the Climate Hoax. Then Rustad joins the Conservatives and makes an argument against the Commie NDP. Falcon, losing popularity because of Castreau and the Liberal brand, changes his party's name to United.
Before the last election, BC United was sinking, the Cons were gaining steam and looking to form government until....Rustad invited BC United to form a big tent coalition. He dumped his people who were UNVACCINATED and who were vocal about the Plandemic and installed more mainstream candidates.
The dumped candidates ran as independents and this split the vote on the Right in these ridings leading to the Marxist victory.
Rustad begins ejecting MLAs who question the grave hoax and who denounce the humiliation ritual of Land Acknowledgements. This splits the party and causes the Leadership race.
Then Elliot, also a liberal, decides to run for leader of the Cons and narrowly loses because the party is infected with former Liberals and Neo Marxists such as Aylia Warbus. 😅 Whew.
Now, Findlay is purging her caucus of Communists, plain and simple, and it will be difficult if not impossible to win an election in BC with a truly Conservative platform.
No SOGI. No Bishnoi gang. No Land Acknowledgements. No drugs. No CCP police stations. Vetted immigration. Private property rights. Right to own guns. Pro industry. Pro pipe. Pro foresty. Pro West. Pro Jack Daniels. This is not what the Woke Left Coast wants to hear.

NPOs account for quite a large chunk of BC's economy, and it's because we never really had a free market party like Saskatchewan does.
We're in a situation where we have the remnants of 3 parties saying 'Do what I say, or I'll bury you.' That happens when way too many MLAs have ties with special interest groups. I'm talking about the ones who turned BC into ground zero for every woke pilot project. Harm Reduction monetized harm, and that's why it was harmful. Restorative Justice monetized the justice system, and made crime worse. Do some digging into the gender grift. BC has a recovery process to go through, and KLF has the backbone to get the process going.
It's very, very discouraging to see any semblance of a governing alternative in BC (and Ottawa) turn inward and create self inflicted GSWs that repel the public. A Public that is desperately searching for a legitimate alternative.
When I see the prolonged dumpster fire of BC governance and the steeply declining balance sheet, it's beyond belief that Eby is eyeing up the dumpster fire of the Conservative Party opposition and planning an early election to solidify another extended run of misery for the people of BC. Let's hope that the national Conservative Party is watching and will decide that the opposition is the Liberal Party dynasty, not party members.

Eby is such a disaster, likely worse than Carney, BC needs a change and hopefully conservatives can organize a win.
