For the British Columbia Conservative Party things are going from bad to worse.
After losing 10 MLAs since taking over as party leader, Kerri-Lynne Findlay just kicked out three more MLAs including former party leader John Rustad.
As I said on X, politics is about addition and not subtraction.
You can’t win through subtraction.
I wasn’t going to post this video until later in the weekend, but then this happened.
Last Monday I spoke with Vaughn Palmer, columnist with the Vancouver Sun, who has been covering BC politics for decades. Give it a listen as he gives some history of how they got to this point and what is behind it all.
Obviously the numbers are dated, but the insight isn’t.

Your commentary is juvenile. You think this is politics as usual? What should she do? Keep enemies within the gates? How did that work out for John Rustad?
The majority that have walked away were liberals posing as conservatives and were not looking for the hard work of cleaning up a province that is arguably beyond saving. KLF is the Little Red Hen. She'll bake that cake come hell or high water; then when everything is looking like BC might not implode, all the naysayers will come back for a piece and say they were with her all along. She hasn't done anything yet that conflicts with her campaign platform. It's not her judgement that needs to be questioned; it's everyone who signed up to run and didn't realize this is do or die for the province of BC. Check the egos and the simplistic politicking at the door.
Eby is such a disaster, likely worse than Carney, BC needs a change and hopefully conservatives can organize a win.
Perhaps the conservatives can get their platform out to the public effectively.
