When will Carney and the G7 leaders realize Iran is the problem? The Nova Scotia cover-up and saying goodbye to Buzz...
The G7 has a chance to take a stand against Iran and it's terror proxies, but will they?

I stayed up too late on Sunday night watching the news out of Israel as the Iranian missiles gave way to daylight in Tel Aviv. I have friends in Tel Aviv and elsewhere in Israel, I have friends who were on their way when this new front on the war started and friends who were supposed to be on their way today.
The Carney government is struggling in how to respond to this, calling initially for a “de-escalation.”
That was the view from Mark Carney’s foreign minister, Anita Anand, on Friday. Sadly, it was still her viewpoint on Sunday afternoon as she posted to X that she had been speaking to counterparts in other countries.
“I voiced the importance of restraint, de-escalation, and a return to diplomacy,” Anand posted.
So, how do you de-escalate from a war that was started by Iran through their funding of Hamas and the October 7, 2023, attacks? How do you de-escalate from Iran funding Hezbollah and the Houthis?
Finally, rather than Iran looking to seek a peace deal to give up their nuclear ambitions, they escalated their attempts to obtain nuclear weapons which would surely be used against Israel. That forced Israel’s hand, but rather than acknowledge that Israel has been fighting a three-front war against Iran and was looking at a four-front war with the Mullahs in Tehran, Canada is calling for “de-escalation.”
Just ask them to kill Israel slowly.
Lots of eyes on the G7...
On Sunday, leaders from across the G7, and those other leaders invited, began arriving in Kananaskis, Alberta. There are plenty of people looking to the G7 to try and stop the fighting in the Middle East, sadly, the only thing that the G7 leadership – currently vested in Canadian PM Mark Carney – is likely to do is call for de-escalation or denounce Israel.
Iran is the real problem here, but at this point it doesn’t appear that Carney nor his ministers are willing to say that. Will other G7 leaders join him in blaming Israel or will they stand up and say that we need to put the blame where it belongs, on Iran.
Don’t other media outlets care about Minister Gary...
Full credit to Global for breaking the story of Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree recusing himself from any issues relating to the Tamil Tigers or the World Tamil Movement.
My question is, where the hell is the rest of the media in this country?
How the hell can we have a Minister of Public Safety who needs to recuse himself from any files related to two banned terrorist groups. I wrote about this last week in this space and then followed up with a column in the Toronto Sun.
Why are there no other stories that I can find in Canada outside of Global and the Sun?
How can we have a Minister of Public Safety, responsible for the list of banned terror organizations, who can’t speak to two banned groups? One possibility that I spoke to in my Friday column is that the Liberals might be moving to remove the Tamil Tigers and WTM from the terror list.
You can’t be pro-life and kill someone...
Vance Boelter has been captured. He’s the guy in Minnesota who shot and killed Melissa Anne Hortman and her husband Mark in the early hours of Saturday morning. He also shot and injured Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette the same night.
As someone who has covered many murders, terror plots, attacks, etc., I can tell you that we need to wait to know his full motivation. That said, it looks like Boelter is someone who decided to take matters into his own hands in the matter of pushing back against abortion.
Let’s be clear, you can’t be pro-life and kill people in cold blood if you disagree with them on abortion.

We lost a great one when Buzz passed...
I’m a union member, not by choice, but a member nonetheless. As a columnist for the Toronto Sun, I’m a member of Unifor M-87, the media union.
As a conservative leaning columnist, it might be odd for some to hear me say good things about Buzz Hargrrove, the former president of Unifor. Buzz was a good egg though, someone who had common sense and was working hard to represent his member.
Didn’t agree with everything he said or did, but Buzz was a good guy. My condolences to his family and loved ones.
The story of the Nova Scotia massacre that you haven’t heard...
On today’s episode of the Full Comment Podcast, I spoke with Paul Palango about his new book on the issue. Published by Random House last week, Anatomy of a Cover-Up: The Truth about the RCMP and the Nova Scotia Massacres is already hitting the bestseller lists at Amazon.
Paul argues that the RCMP have been involved in a cover-up of what really happened from the beginning, and our political leadership has assisted in pushing their own agenda.
Listen to the podcast and pick up a copy of the book.
What to read...
Lorrie Goldstein takes another look at the Liberal climate debacle. Did you know that the United States has reduced emissions at a much higher rate than Canada without a carbon tax or trying to strangle their economy? You won’t read that everywhere.
For all the outrage about Donald Trump’s deportations of illegals, Victor David Hanson is arguing that it pales in comparison to how may people stormed across the border under Biden. VDH argues that Biden’s border failure will haunt the Americans long after he is gone.
Warren Kinsella speaks with Natasha Hausdorff about the propaganda war going on at the same time as the shooting war between Israel and Iran along with their minions in Hamas and elesewhere.
Only when nuclear bombs from Iran are raining down on Western countries might they realize that it was never about independence but an innate hatred for the culture of your religious foundation. No country is safe; they would have to bend a knee in solidarity with the Islamic religion and accept Sharia law as the sovereign dictator over all things in the country. There is no winning against an ideology that welcomes death as their ultimate reward when given the opportunity to use a weapon that will kill people; retaliation means nothing to a worshipper of death.
The G7 is a BIS con job, dog and pony show to bullshit the World, sorry Brian, just the way I see things.
