It is the radical left. When Charlie Kirk was murdered not one shop was vandalized, not one fire was set. When George Floyd died the mindless destruction went on unabated for weeks. There simply is no comparison.
The Liberal's 2-tier justice system, coupled with their "soft on crime" stance, ensures that far-left violence is green-lighted. Expect more of this, which the Libs use to divide us and distract us from their corruption and Evil deeds.
Soros is the definition of EVIL! Whether he is a megalomaniac or a quiet crazy lefty crusader, One thing for sure is he is a WEFer and we all know what there game is. This Billionaire has spent half his wealth on supporting violence around the world including Antifa and Muslim violent protests.
All true. Thankfully, the US Administration is aware of the treasonous actions of Soros and his US /international co-conspirators. And has publically exposed their Evil deeds. Steps have and will continue to be taken by the US to thwart their attacks.
Why on earth do we Canadians have to pay an American Democrat to oversee the top job in PCO , isn't this the Prime Minister job as leader of the country? I hope he addresses this appointment soon, it is not an appropriate move. Also, the radicals that do violence must be held accountable.
Here's my take, Carney doesn't do anything without clearing through the wife Diana fox! After all there is a Utube video out with her at the victory of him getting selected with her saying "congratulations to my husband and we will make Canada poor" I suspect a lot of the climate crap(and the enormous amount of money made fraudulently) is stirred up by her. Got to wonder how deep the relationship with her and this ridiculous appointment is. Having said that Carney is and always will be a snake in the grass.
Funny how leftwing violence gets kid-glove treatment by the Tax Trough Media but if a conservative gives a dirty look at a purple-haired gender-ambiguous critter, sudden the conservative is a far-right extremist, probably Nazi-aligned, Maple MAGA menace to Canadian society. It's almost as if there was biased in reporting.
When I was in high school in the 70’s, we were taught that it was a circle with liberal and conservative meeting in the centre at the top and communism and fascism meeting at the bottom. It makes sense and not sure why this isn’t being taught anymore.
I seem to recall the radical left celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. These people are human garbage who need psychological help. What a shameful time we live in
Reading from Australia. In terms of change in security for politicians, my 94-year-old father in-law used to cycle past PM Ben Chifley on his way to school. The PM lived at a hotel and walked “to work” at Parliament with no security and would tip his hat to the teenager on his way past. Lots of huge positive changes in society over the past 8 decades. But we have also lost a lot too.
I attended a town hall on “AI for All” last night hosted by my Hamilton riding Liberal MP. The hostility was palpable and the environmental zealots were out in full force having meltdowns during his presentation. I’m a Conservative voter so of course I’m no fan of this dude but these people seemed unhinged.
The Hamilton AI proposal could be good. Follow the Alberta model revealed last week and it will be good for the city. Follow a bad model and it will be a loss.
Yes I was listening with an open mind. Even us Conservatives can still do that. Sounds like there is $890M in Federal funding on the table that, if all environmental and other factors can be addressed, I’d prefer come to my city than somewhere else.
Nothing can be built on the brown field Steelport lot except industrial real estate. And the other bid is for McMaster to improve their research and innovation tools. Something has to give if we want to harness AI for all.
Brian, you write, "Politicians across the political spectrum are facing increasing threats from radicals. It’s not just the radical left, it’s from the radical rights and the radically confused." I am just catching up here. Where is the radical right in this as opposed to the radical left?
In Canada, the radical right seems like a fiction, skilfully exploiting a both-sides!-ism that keeps us from seeing what is happening. When I see young people on the street covered with tats, pierced everywhere I can see, making their addiction to substances obvious, they are never right-wing, only left-wing.
The few where I live who could be classed as rightwing study, graduate, pay taxes, obey the laws, get married, form families -
I think we should think good and hard about why their behaviour is a cause of concern.
A member of the People's Party threw a handful of Gravel at Justin Trudeau in London,Ontario in 2021. Millions were as traumatized as they were over the Kennedy assassination, as we are a kinder, gentler nation.
The flipside of your article is this....governments do violence to constituents regularily. How many totally psychotic experiments have not been done on populations over the years? The history books are full of these experiments. Then came covid...a new low in so many ways for politicians overlording themselves upon the public. Being a politician should never give you the right to sign off on experimenting on humans, or on the endless violence of wars.
“You can protest any politician you want, any issue you want, when you turn to violence you have crossed a line.”
Maybe, this is the source of some of the problem. That is, maybe this notion of “free protest” needs a revisit.
Protest as standing in the park and speaking your mind is one thing, but gathering in an organized group to drown out, or yell down another speaker - be it a politician or free citizen- is uncivil, disrespectful, and not in any way a foundational aspect of democracy or a free society, in my opinion.
The liberals have utilized democrats as advisors at least since 2015. Trudy mentioned it when running for office! While the hiring is new, the advisors is not. FYI. But I'm sure you already knew that.
I am not an advocate of violence against politicians or anyone for that matter, but when politicians take our money and spend it recklessly every day and lie to us on a daily basis, what do they expect to happen?
I can not believe Carrey has employed someone from the US to work in the Canadian federal government!!! Is there no one in Canada qualified for that job???? I am so shocked!!! I have heard it all now and Brian Lilly you don't seem to be shocked by this!!
About Ozempic; it's a very harmful drug, which wasn't mentioned in the article or the interview. I get both were about the economic side of things, but in the end, the people taking these drugs will damage their kidneys and other organs, and cause other problems with their health. Not a good thing all around 😕.
I would have to say that the respect for politicians has declined over decades, with voting the party line, to the open faced lies, to the bold faced lies has tarnished their reputation. Something has to change, as I think the kettle is about to whistle…

Especially as Soros is involved in Canada. Where Soros goes left wing craziness breaks out.

Soros money and influence is also implicated in US election manipulation and fraud. https://elizabethnickson.substack.com/p/inside-the-criminal-gangs-planning?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=mz8w3

Here is my guess.
In the next week or so he will have a media event, a female reporter will ask about this and he will be dismissive and arrogant in his response.

She has ties back to the snake Carney through GFANZ.
" all in the family".

Lots of biased reporting.
Violence, or threats of violence from the left are not treated the same.
That said, we can't ignore the horseshoe theory which says that the radicals do meet.
When I was in high school in the 70’s, we were taught that it was a circle with liberal and conservative meeting in the centre at the top and communism and fascism meeting at the bottom. It makes sense and not sure why this isn’t being taught anymore.
Yup... the true radicals have more in common than the rest of us. The radicals quibble over the details of the totalitarian system they want.
I seem to recall the radical left celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. These people are human garbage who need psychological help. What a shameful time we live in
I don't disagree with that, but I see the messages from the extremes on both sides. Daily.

We had a guy storm Rideau Hall a while back. We've had threats against Trudeau, a man I oppose but don't threaten, and one of the people accused of attacking Trudeau is now charged with threatening Carney. I don't care who the elected official is, whether I support them or not, I don't support this. https://lfpress.com/news/local-news/man-who-threw-stones-at-justin-trudeau-charged-with-threatening-mark-carney

Nowhere to be found.
Yup. Which radical, Right So Far, Fringe Minority group or person has attacked a politician in Kanadastan?

History books? The ones they are changing to suit their narrative? Many of these books they want burned?
What on earth does this have to do with anything ?

Why do we tolerate violence from the extreme left?

Premier Houston is conservative. The situation is awful and should not have happened.
Pierre Trudeau used JFK campaign people on his first attempt at the PM's office in 1968.

The Liberal environment minister Tim Hodgson is from the USA…
