It seems to me that main Pierre's problem is that he doesn't *sound* or act prime ministerial. He has spent too much time in opposition and he's really good at that, but I don't think people can visualize him as prime minister. Although the issues matter to a percentage of the population the majority go by impressions. He also doesn't talk like a conservative so that costs him. Trying to please everyone pleases no one.

Well I disagree, but I will continue to take what I can from Brian's reporting. I don't regard politics as a sport as some do. The only suggestion I would have in the "do what it takes to win" column is to make it clear that a Conservative government under his leadership will maintain current media subsidies.
