If you even follow headlines on the war between Israel and the Middle East in passing then you know that there are wild claims about the death toll in Gaza. At times there are competing death tolls in Gaza but always with sky high numbers, always claiming it is a genocide in the making.
On the Full Comment Podcast this week, I spoke with two experts on the matter who challenge the official narrative after extensive study on the issue and they say you can’t believe the numbers you are hearing.
Here is the segment where we spoke about that issue.

This week the newsletter is brought to you by Beer Canada and their HereForBeer.ca campaign.
The federal government says it wants to keep life affordable for Canadians but every April 1, it quietly hikes beer taxes through an automatic tax escalator, hoping you won’t notice. Since 2017, taxes on beer have gone up eight times without a vote in Parliament or debate in the House of Commons. Nearly half the price you pay for beer is government taxation — the highest in the G7. This isn’t fair, and it isn’t democratic. Visit HereForBeer.ca to email your MP and demand an end to automatic beer tax hikes.
There is only one solution,
Palestine occupies Gaza and Israel or Isreal occupies both. Palestinians and Israeli citizens have not been able to live in harmony for over 2000 years. Only a lunatic would believe that Carneys magic wand could be waved and harmony would exist. We all know that Trudeau and Carneys magic wand only has pixie dust within. There is no chance of a Two State Solution ever working.
I think we all can agree that there is casualties in War and it's never good but it needs to be resolved once and for all. The casualties exist on both sides and we all know what started it all.
Just an opinion.

carney and trudeaus magic wands do not contain pixie dust - only taxpayers money that they give to hamas very freely
