Carney also said, referring to Alberta voters: "Did they vote for this in the last provincial election? No, they didn't." What a hypocrite. In two ridings in Nova Scotia, two in Ontario, one in Alberta and one in Nunavut voters in the last federal election did not vote for a Liberal candidate but they now have Liberal MPs and Carney has an unelected majority government.

Donald Ashman's avatar

Great post, Leslie.

I have nothing to add.

K Brooker's avatar

Exactly. Also didn’t people vote for him to make a deal with Trump and he hasn’t even tried on that front. Ridiculous!

Karen Semchuk's avatar

Dumber still for the Carney government not to immediately step in and say that these new charges on American streamers would be paused as we review CUSMA and negotiate a new trade deal.

Carney is doing this on purpose. He wants CUSMA to fail.

We have an enemy in our country and it goes by the name Lieberals, oopps! sorry for the misspell of the Liberal Party gone missing. At one time in history I think they cared about the country even though they were always stumbling over fraud and there crooked ways. Carney along with his WEF masters are not even trying to hide there destructive policies any more. His actions can only be seen as the deliberate destruction of our economy.

Merla Parker's avatar

sadly, I think you are correct

Somebody please tell me how we can get rid of this idiot PM that is hellbent on destroying Canada with his green agenda, stupid antics & comments and more importantly his devastating deals with COMMUNIST China because once the deed is done & his ego has been stroked, he'll be livin la Vida loca in USA under the Brookfield umbrella or one of the European countries he's so proud to identify with!! Why won't Canadians pay attention???

Charmain Farrell's avatar

Brian, I want crooked Carney to keep going on the Liberal owned TV CBC,V, Global and keep on spouting off about Alberta and Brexit and "bluffs" and all that kind of stuff. He alone with his idiotic comments will make the "fence sitting" Albertans want to vote to separate. He and Junior and all previous Liberal PM's have proven throughout the decades that they don't give good goddamn about Alberta and what we want. all they wanted was our oil resource money to feed the coffers of Eastern Canada and we are getting fed up, so all I can say is KEEP ON TALKING CARNEY and you will guarantee Alberta Separation.

Carole Saville's avatar

I agree - the liberals are the best promotion for an independent Alberta than all the ads we could think of. I can't wait for Alberta to get out of Canada so Alberta can be the master of its destiny.

Charmain Farrell's avatar

Thank you it's so nice to hear someone say something to someone who agrees with separation. I'm 70 years old, I lived through PET's NEP disaster to destroy Alberta. I lost my job in the oil service industry, my husband really suffered as he sold heavy equipment for the oilpatch. We almost lost everything if it hadn't been for family helping us. My father had an equipment company and had to lay off 1800 employees and it just about destroyed him, so I have no love for the Liberals. Then we had Junior get elected and try and destroy is once again, and now we have that POS crooked Carney who is so smarmy, so as far as I'm concerned he could give a damn about Alberta and the West, although he says he's and Alberta boy, BUT hasn't rlened our doorstep for over 40 years UNTIL he wanted to be PM, THEN SUDDENLY he's an Albertan. He thought that skating with the Oilers and wearing a jersey and having a photo op at an arena that we "dumb" Albertans will accept him. NO!! Like I said "keep talking and slandering Albertans and e will be gone before you know it". thank god for Peter Lougheed (times past) and Danielle Smith (our future) for sticking up for Alberta

Carole Saville's avatar

Yup - we lost everything in the NEP spectacular fiasco. My ex-husband turned to alcohol. Finally everything is going pretty smoothly and bang... another Trudeau. What I love is to hear people say that we should get over the NEP years.

Albertans should never forget the NEP years, because when your government betrays you they should never get a second chance to govern - yet here we are.

Charmain Farrell's avatar

Yup a Liberal will always be a Liberal, and those traitor Conservative MP's who were bought off should be so ashamed of themselves, and one of them was my MP. I remember when Turdhole Jr was running for PM the first time, he said "I am not my father and I will not be like him", well he right about that he was WORSE. I always said that Jr was the worst PM we have ever had but I was wrong, crooked Carney with his devil eye teeth grin is the absolute worst PM this country has had to endure and now that he has secured his illegal majority this country is doomed

Every time Carney opens his mouth the separatist % goes up. Keep it up Mark!

Carney and other elites who wished to remain in the EU absolutely hated how average UK residents stepped up and voted to leave. The elites have gone out of their way to destroy the spirit of the UK residents as a result including unlimited immigration, two-tier justice system, and inheritance taxes to destroy small farmers. Guess what Carney has planned for Canada?

Jerry Grant's avatar

The sh1tty thing is that Brexit was a vote to stop the crazy immigration EU membership allowed. But then Labour got in.

UncleMac's avatar

To be fair, the elites in the Conservatives talked about dealing with immigration but did the opposite. Labour got in because voters refused to vote Conservative.

Jerry Grant's avatar

You are right. I have to stop trusting my memory.

JGP's avatar

I tried that, but I forgot.

Bill's avatar

I am of the opinion my money would be better served offshore. Plans to leave are about to get serious. There are several countries that have a lot to offer.

Carole Saville's avatar

Check out Panama. Taxes are low, profit is not a bad word and common sense still seems to be in vogue. Entrepreneurs are welcome. Housing is affordable.

Bill's avatar

Panama is part of my planning. At the minimum I will transfer $ and do my banking from Panama. There is a real possibility I would live part time somewhere until the plan comes together.

Carole Saville's avatar

We are checking out Panama in June - who knew that if you leave Canada you have to pay a departure tax - like Ottawa hasn't taken enough of my money. Regardless, we did lots of research, and we think that Panama is a good alternative to communist Canada.

Bill's avatar

The trick is to create an income stream beyond the reach of our Dear Leader. Check out non registered dividend income account while you are in Panama........

Sadly, low information, useful idiot voters of Elbownia continue to nod in agreement with everything their Supreme Leader, Komrade Karney, says and does.

Agenda 2030 is nearing completion.

Bill's avatar

Agenda 2030 is a simple milestone to the end goal of America 2050. Investigate that, simple to do. Many people do not realise there is more beyond 2030.

KZwick's avatar

Absolutely. You know where this all leads.

Eastern Rebellion's avatar

IMHO, the current government in Ottawa is just acting the way it always has when it comes to what it sees as "Canadian culture". It doesn't want people watching or consuming media it can't regulate.

Verna Scott's avatar

I started to think is Smith blackmailing Carney to reverse bill c69. It sure seems like it.

The streaming bill. Against cusma.. has the usa done the same to us ..its getting so petty.

I noticed in a post, how great USA snd mexico are getting along. And business is booming.

Shes a mover and shaker trump likes that. Making progress.

Laird Scrimshaw's avatar

Agreed on Brexit. It was voted in, and therefore rhe proper result, in a democracy. It is not the 'experts' or Carney's ideology that determines whether it is rhe right choice.

And escaping the edicta of a distant and disinterested cadre of elitists in Belgium looks increasingly to be a good choice, considering how well EU countries like France and Germany have been doing lately.

Carole Saville's avatar

On March 11, the European Parliament adopted a recommendation for enhanced “EU-Canada” cooperation, including regulatory alignment in trade, energy, environment, and other sectors.

Does anyone know what enhanced “EU-Canada” cooperation means. Did any journalist follow up on this - just asking because it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Dfaghi reported in his industry analyses of the EU: excessive bureaucracy and regulatory layering have eroded Europe’s industrial edge in trade and energy sectors. The EU bureaucracy has 170,000 pages of regulations.

(Former European Central Bank President and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi authored a report regarding the future of the EU and his key finding was that the “EU faces a "slow agony" of declining competitiveness unless it undergoes radical change, including increased investment, faster decision-making, and deep, structural reforms.”)

JGP's avatar

Good heavens! Evidence. How inconsiderate.

John Powell's avatar

Nothing more to say.

Colin Pratt's avatar

Hey Brian - how is your forehead and is the brick wall still standing? Sigh - a once proud Canadian, wishing there was a way to leave this nightmare.

Jerry Grant's avatar

China may be guiding Carney because they think they can snap up Alberta if it separates. I think they'd be in for a surprise.

K Brooker's avatar

China - no. US probably.

Scott Newell's avatar

Is Carney really this stupid or in such denial as to how stupid he is ?

Europe is a fing broke socialist state and Britain is much better off

BGeorge Gobel's avatar

Apply the same principle to Quebec and Carney looks like the two faced charlatan that he is.
