I watched Poilievre’s interview with Rosemary Barton of the Carney Broadcasting Corporation last night and first of all I will give him credit for going on there. I think be held his own despite her constantly interrupting him when he was in the middle of making a statement so she could defend or make excuses for the Liberals. Poilievre deftly handled the whole thing very well and over the budget question he did a remarkable job. I loved when she pressured him about why he will support a $ 41 billion deficit only - when in the past he was totally against deficits amounts of half that His reply was priceless - he said usually governments traditionally present a budget at the beginning of the year and we can measure their progress as the year goes on and they can adjust throughout the year to stay on track. However since this government did not present a budget this year and the year is 3/4 of the way over - the money has already been spent - what choice do we have but to support the number Carney promised during the election that the deficit would be - $ 41 billion. BAM. That shut her up quick and she decided to pivot to the issue the CBC has been trying to play up for awhile - the Leadership review - a non topic if there ever was one. Who in the Conservative Party is looking to challenge Poilievre right now ? Who has made their intentions known that they will run against him ? The only ones talking about discontent in the Conservative Party are “unnamed sources”. In other words - the Liberal party themselves, whipping up some discourse. Barton even got put in her place on that one when she stated that the last 2 election leader for the Conservatives was Steven Harper. Poilievre’s response to that was great “and look how well that worked out”. Perfect,

PP, Ford and not conservatives. The party is a joke. Stop ALL immigration now. Deport now. You are not wanted or welcome here. F OFF. The damage is done and not a word on the immigration file from Ford or PP for the last 20 years , sick. Canada now just liberals masquerading as conservatives, the rest, communists masquerading as liberals. ’french power...’ - PET in all provinces. They are revising, eliminating our BNA history all over the country as they rename, remove all things English, Scottish, while kebec bans our language, history = bills 22, 178, 101, 96. Election fraud? YES, guaranteed. Why? Simple, they lie about everything. Welcome to Marxist - commie Canada where your vote is meaningless. Why? Bigoted = Socialist = marixst = commie = kebec runs the nation. $$ This IS the problem, and No party, NO ‘leader’ will touch it. ‘Cons’ Poliver, Ford ?...nothing, not a word. “First quebec, and Ottawa and then the entire country…” ‘french power..." PET. $ Seriously, how do we get these lying, crooked, corrupt greedy metis (they are not french) bigots out of Ottawa, Queens Park? Stop ALL immigration now. Deport now. You are not wanted or welcome here. F OFF. Repeal the kebek - commie charter. Kick kebek out = Fix Canada. We have no-one to vote for. Liberal, Tory, same old story. HELP

What rock have you been living under. Poilievre has been calling for an immigration freeze for at least 2 years now - a direct quote from him is that we need to get rid of immigrants and foreign workers, not bring more in. So - on that part of your manifesto- you are dead wrong.

Having said that I do agree with you in regards to Quebec and frankly the Maritimes as well. The reason they all cater to Quebec is because the Liberals set the tone on election night depending on how well they do in the Maritimes and most importantly Quebec. If they get out of there with a good number of seats overall then the GTA pushes them over the top because outside of there - heading west - the pickins’ are slim if you are the Liberal party. Therefore the Liberals covet Quebec with all of their might. The Conservatives just cannot seem to make any headway there. So - because of that the Liberals put all of their most senior cabinet members out of there - people like Melanie Joly, and the grating Champagne, not to mention the climate nut bar Steven Guilbeault and the equally incompetent Marjorie Michele. The rest they throw in from their power base - The GTA. This is completely unfair representation - I agree. The Liberals hold the rest of Canada virtually hostage so they can cater to Quebec and the Conservatives are afraid to call a spade a spade there because they need to appear moderate enough so as to not throw even more Quebec voters into the Liberal camp. If the Bloc or the NDP can get a few seats there that take away from the Liberals, or if the Conservatives can turn just 2-3 more seats there - Canada is a different place. It’s been that way for decades.

I understand this decision was made. But my question that no one has seemed to have asked or have questioned is this Can the Crown prosecutors automatically recommend a harsher sentence for child porn charges?

That shows you how thin Donald Trump's skin is when the words of Ronald Reagan easily puncture it.

It isn't about thin skin: This is a clip from a long ad, where the entire point is Reagan ultimately justifying placing tariffs on Japan. From what I've read, t isn't just that the ad is an expensive attempt to interfere, it is that it is the perversion of the truth about what Reagan was doing: actually setting tariffs. It's maddening.

It’s interference in US politics. If the shoe was on the other foot and Trump ran ads in Canada about the dairy industry and Crown Royal, Dougie would throw a fit for sure.

For example Canada was supposed to get rid of the Crown corporations. Like the Sydney steel plant and the coal mines in Cape Breton. Also the Trenton works in Pictou County Nova Scotia all where to be privatized to have access to the American market according to the American government in the Whitehouse. Then they put accountants from Washington in charge who ran bull shit sale processes repeatedly and refused to sell or lease them repeatedly they rejected 300 million investments into the mines and steel plant and they rejected 650 million investment in the Trenton works.

The last time I dealt with that man from Washington he laughed in my face. They scrapped 3 mines a modern electric steel plant and the Trenton works where they sold 100 million in new equipment for pennies on the Dollar but rejected 650 million. And demolished all of them billions of dollars worth flushed down the drain.

His name was steel.

And they ran a fraud deal. Over and over.

Is actually I watched the whole speech.

It's one of many he gave on his belief not in tariffs but in free trade same as what he pitched to Canada duty free restrictions free. With an open border.

Infact after Reagan pitched free trade to Canada we had an election on it and this nation voted overwhelmingly for the 7 year plan it was claimed was to be inacted to that end. That was nearly 40 years ago ,so when exactly is the 7 year plan to actually start as it never did?

Another easy and non expensive move is to listen to Alberta's Danielle Smith. I realize that caving to Alberta gets rid of one of the liberals big wedge issues, but if Carney can grovel to Xi and Trump...

These demands focus on areas such as:

Ensuring access for oil and gas.

Repealing certain federal bills and regulations, including Bill C-69, the oil tanker ban off the B.C. coast, the oil and gas emissions cap, the Clean Electricity Regulations, and the prohibition on single-use plastics.

Ending the net-zero car mandate.

Returning oversight of the industrial carbon tax to the provinces.

Halting federal "censorship" of energy companies.
