What CBS’s candid interview with Steve Bannon reveals about changing media attitudes, the rise of populism on both sides, and why Canada should pay attention.
I agree. Trump's populist views brought us back to the center from where we were a decade ago: a clear vision moving forward toward peace, prosperity, and trustworthy governance. Terrorism led us to fear and an overabundance of public safety—a blanket of dependency. This has been unhealthy for our society, and a reversal of this trend needs to happen. Smaller government, deregulation, and, of course, the bureaucracy of public unions have to be addressed.
I joined the RCAF after high school, in the 60s, to earn a trade, not necessarily, to go to war. It was during the cold war that the US and Russia were having, which in hindsight close to a nuclear war. It was during the cuban crisis and I was in basic training. We were doing rifle drill. The drill sergeant handed out bayonets to affix on our rifles. He told us we would be the first line when the Russians came over the pole. Thank goodness for diplomacy.
I wouldn't trust Bannon with my life after he was caught working with Miles Guo (a fake Chinese dissident) who was convicted of a multi-billion dollar fraud scheme. The scam involved raising money while he presented himself as an anti-communist China crusader. Wake up people.
Brian, Unbelievable that you still use the CBC term Maga? But really not as you are part of the media propaganda network paid for by the liberals with our taxes.
Every Canadian should listen to this and quit worrying about a US takeover and be truly concerned about totalitarian CHINA! Good on you Brian!

Just read Sam Coopers article this morning And Yikes
Banning seems correct about Carney’s pals, China. Guess Carney is too busy pumping up the elbows crowd with Trump bad bs to care about China.

Thanks for highlighting the Bannon interview. I will give it a listen.
