Brian, I share your sense of frustration.

In another post, I commented that I hope the BC-Cs can lay the groundwork and set the pathway forward for many more conservative victories in Canada.

Obviously, Toronto is a lost cause.

It is a city that doesn’t work, and it appears that 54 per cent of the electorate likes it like that.

Like an aging, decrepit, and cognitively impaired couple that refuse to fix the problem plumbing at the cottage- “it’s just fine; it’s just a cottage”- so too have Torontonians abandoned any sense of repair or maintenance to the things that matter.

Time for you to move to Alberta Brian.

Interviewing Lorne D in BC as new leader would be of interest.

Looks like I will continue to venture no further east than the Etobicoke Creek. I remain thankful I got out.

Sad about Toronto! Happy about BC! Oh, Canada.

"Then we had the B.C. election where Lorne Doerkson and the B.C. Conservatives won bigger than even their own team thought"

I nominate David Eby for the "2026 Moron Of The Year" Award

LC, that would make how many consecutive "wins" for him?

Kerry-Lynne Findley and Dallas Brodie played a big part in B.C. Conservative win!

What is happening to Toronto is simply what happened to Los Angeles and New York. The internet changed everything. It is destroying the value of location as such. A broker today does not need to live near Bay Street. A head office could be anywhere with affordable rent.

What remains is the population that adjusts easily to the decline: government services and its clients.

Threats of riots will keep the money flowing but productivity will be much more evenly distributed.

For example, LabX, the firm that now owns Scientific American, is located in Midland, Ontario. We will see much more of this.
