Sir John A. Macdonald is free at last...
The statue of the first PM at Queen's Park has been unboxed.

It’s been a long time coming!
For the last five years the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald at Queen’s Park has been boarded up. It started as a protective measure after it was vandalized several times in the wake of George Floyd’s death in 2020.
What does a man dying in Minneapolis while under arrest by police have to do with a statue of Canada’s first PM? Ask the crazy protestors who attacked.
Anyway, there is a crazy story of why it took so long, and no, it’s not due to Doug Ford being weak. The blame sits with the NDP, the credit for helping get it unboxed goes to the Ontario Liberals.
I tell the whole crazy story in my Sun column on the issue.
In the meantime, enjoy the photos and videos of the box coming off.
Crazy indeed being set right
And so it should be!
