Does anyone really believe that Bill C-9 will be used to shut down the anti-Semitic hate marches disgracing our cities? Many could have been shut down already for blocking the street.

The government is certain to use C-9 only to go after people who probably won't vote Liberal, using religion as a pretext.

You could say they will only go after a christians. There are equally "offensive" quotes from the Quran that Miller could have used but chose not to. That is how it will be implemented as well.

Lilley argues Poilievre wisely skirted the political trap of the GST holiday by branding it a "trick." The fiscal data supports this skepticism. Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux estimated the two-month pause costs the federal government $1.5 billion, with a risk of rising to $2.7 billion if provinces demanded compensation. This high price tag for temporary relief underscores the inefficiency of ad-hoc tax policy compared to the structural changes Poilievre advocates.

Thank you Brian for continuing to fill the massive void of balanced information in Canada. This Bill C-9 cannot stand, and neither can this government.

And yours as well my mentally ill friend……

K Brooker's avatar

Yes, he has a serious case of TDS and elbows up fatigue.

If you are really concerned about the “massive void of balanced information in Canada” then you should subscribe to Dean Blundell’s Substack. It is very informative.

Brian Lilley's avatar

Is this a serious comment?

Kevin 🇨🇦's avatar

Sure is. Why not see what the other side is saying.

John Doe's avatar

Blundell is like trying to pick up dog shit from the clean end, grow a fcn brain……

Your post tells me all I need to know about you, maple maga

K Brooker's avatar

Don’t use insults because that is weak. If you have such good arguments use those otherwise you show your serious case of TDS!

He's afraid of it. Truth is, the conservatives are great at uniting every other party.

A recent poll shows Poilievre so far away from being acceptable to Canadians as PM, that if he continues on as leader of the conservatives, they are royally screwed.

K Brooker's avatar

Wrong. That is left wing media propaganda and isn’t even close to the truth.

K Brooker's avatar

Okay Chinese propaganda pusher!

The Quebec government is primarily concerned with militant Islam creeping into the school system and government agencies plus the demonstrations in the streets and in front of the main Catholic Cathedral.

Marcie's avatar

Then they should use the laws in place to prosecute those acts.

Mike Canary's avatar

Exactly. There are already laws against hate, intimidation, and other harassment and violence. These governments need to grow a pair and enforce existing laws, arrest, prosecute, and if necessary deport any illegal people in the country, immediately if they are found guilty. There is simply no accepting a government in a social liberal country like Canada to be censoring citizens, or deciding what speech is acceptable or not. There needs to be a vote of no confidence in parliament at the earliest convenience. This government cannot be allowed to continue. Enough is enough.

Right now it's OK to say these words outloud( most don't speak Arabic), fron the Quran about the murdering of any infidels (those not of Islamic countries), surah4:8, surah 9:5 !! Look those verses up and read them!! Open your eyes!!! Fools!

They sleepwalk

Simon Chivers's avatar

Thete is the same shit in the bible

K Brooker's avatar

Wrong. When was there a Christian terrorist shooting people on the beach or driving into a market? Hmm - never?!

Mark L's avatar

Not the best of responses. Pretty lame actually.

Mark L's avatar

Nary a word on the Quran. Possibly many a journalist remembers the Charli Hebdo massacre in Paris. Or is it just that criticism of that one religion that brings out the inner cowardice in journalists.

Liberal bots are demonizing the leader of the opposition on Substack, and want him removed. 😬

Ephesians 6:12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places..."

We are in the last days... elements of the beast system starting to burp up everywhere. This may just be another piece in that puzzle.

We are not in the signs of the times, but rather times of the signs.

It is a different view when one looks at this political manoeuvering from a biblical lens.

I pray it comes not to pass. But if it does, know this. God knew about this happening long before we did and he is still in control.

A great Story Brian.

Thank God if we read something in the Bible…or in a book….or on social media that doesn’t fit the post-modern narrative we have our government and Dean Blundell and so many others who are all knowing and can set us straight. How did the Bible survive for close to 2000 years and consistently remain the number one selling book in the world when it is so full of hate (forget the love that is its primary message). The uptick in crime has to be because of all those maple magat, Bible readers…I’m sure the Mark/Marc’s will figure it all out for us.

The diehards you mention miss the point which was the seriousness with which God viewed the sin of adultery. When Christ saw a group planning to stone a woman caught in flagrante what did He say? “Let him who is sinless cast the first stone”. The likes of Marc Miller should get familiar with the whole of Scripture and the context. All of which is to say that the state has no business corporately in the church.
