As long as the elbows up & media support the man who constantly lies , stalls & blames Trump , Canada can’t go forward ! He says nothing really ( word salads) has done absolutely nothing to make Canadians life better in fact has made everyday living for most a struggle ! I always knew Canadians were a little naive but never thought they were so ignorant , and even so complacent! Trudeau they were at least angry enough to get rid of him finally but with Carney wow they are enamoured! They are so blindsided they can’t see what he is doing to our once beautiful nation! Mind boggling , he can still fool people with his resume not as a leader of a remarkable Country bc he has totally failed as Prime Minister!
You are so right, they are totally blinded by his “wonderful” resume that they did not even check to see how well he did or didn’t perform. Never mind check out excerpts from his book. When will they get their heads out of the sand or wherever their heads are?
It’s exhausting to watch the same pundits and has been journalists pound the same tune out over and over again. Turn the channel? Same thing, same pundits. radio? Same pundits same message. Fife has reduced his image so significantly, there’s only one thing that corrupt that much…money.
In NASCAR the shill wears the sponsors logo. Fife needs a big Carney Liberal logo right across his lying face. But my serious question is, When do Canadians pull their heads out of the snow bank and hold Carney accountable? Its no wonder that out here in Alberta we want out of this mess.
I hesitate - at first - to praise you once again, Sir.
Why the hesitation? You have been so correct for so long (and you are not even an economist - as if they, particularly the one at the top of the pyramid, are paying attention to these signals) that it almost seems to me that you are being a cheerleader for PP et al. Than, I stop and think how you were a supporter of Carney during the election and your various and numerous positive comments about Carney. I conclude - once again, to be sure! - that you go out of your way to be fair in your analysis. That causes me to offer my final thought:
Bravo, Sir! You, again, offer a strong counterpoint to those who argue that MC walks on water.
I never supported Carney during the election but once he won and said we needed act fast to boost our economy then I was hopeful he would do the right things. He hasn’t.
I didn't support Carney either, but when he won the election I said I would give him 6 months to see what he could do. Here we are months later and he still has accomplished nothing except he's very good at spending taxpayers into such an enormous debt that it will be our coming generations who will be saddled with paying it off.
I accept your correction but it was my perception that you were exquisitely fair to MC during the election. That is a different thing than support and is the source of my misstatement.
To be fair, I was entirely NOT a supporter of MC during the election as I had, have and will continue to have a great deal of animosity for the LPC and it's acolytes and leaders.
CARNEY AND CREW ARE WALKING ON QUICKSAND OF THEIR OWN MAKING. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THE LIES, THE ROBBERY OF TAXPAYER AND CPP FUNDS, AND THE UTTER BS COMING FROM THE MOUTHS OF THE LIARS IN THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT.
I do understand and agree. To be entirely honest, I fully expect Canada to hit the wall, financially speaking, reasonably soon. Definition of "reasonably soon?" I cannot say with precision but I do expect it to be much sooner than later.
That is just ONE of the reasons that I am an Alberta separatist. Simply put, I see much dislocation ahead for Canada and I very much want Alberta to distance itself from Canada for the benefit of my children and grandchildren.
YES, I HAVE TWO GROWN DAUGHTERS, TWO SON-IN LAWS, AND 4 GROWING GRANDCHILDREN - NONE OF THEM DESERVE THE CARNEY/LIBERAL PARTY DECEITFUL DEBT CRISIS THEY ARE BEING SADDLED WITH...WE HAVE ALREADY "HIT THE WALL" - BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, CARNEY AND THE LIBERALS WILL NEVER GET THEIR VOTE.
It took a decade to dig ourselves out of the P.E. Trudeau recession of the 1980s. And there was no negative movement on inflation. Prices stayed at their highs and never went down. If Canadians think prices are magically going to reverse after the 11 years of J. T./Carney, it’s not going to happen, not even when this recession ends.
It reminds me of the old Who song, "Won't Get Fooled Again". "Meet the new boss", "Same as the old boss"- just without the fancy socks and a few less um's and ah's.
Maybe I missed something but I can't remember a time when Robert Fife was anything but an establishment hack, regurgitating Liberal talking points uncritically. At what point was he a journalist? Is there any example of Fife holding Liberal toes to the fire??
If you have been unfortunate enough to have seen someone explode like a volcano just at the word "Trump" then you have to believe TDS to be a mental health issue.
The Liberals happily lie, we happily accept the lies, and then we repeat the lies. Carney pretends he is doing something, we happily accept his word that he is doing something. In fact, he is doing something: making Canada worse off.
One of the Trudeau Liberal Ministers, Catherine McKenna, stated publicly, "tell lies often enough and loud enough and people will accept them as the truth".
Although Elbownians did and will vote for Komrade Karney, I don't think most Canadians are that stupid. I don't think, even after the Elbows Up campaign, there are enough voters who switched sides. I don't think people change their minds that quickly. Bought and paid for Lamestream Media began showing polling in favour of Karney and "it's shocking" how fast the polls changed but "it must be Karneys adult presence" etc.
The election was stolen and Canadians won't question the results because we're too pompous. We all believe that would never happen in Canada. Well guess what?
I refuse to believe that that many people were took in by the grift and voted for the Liberals after Castreau. Not a chance.
What happened was that a lot of what would normally be the NDP vote stampeded towards the Liberals, so even though the Conservatives increased their share of the popular vote, it was irrelevant, plus the bulk of Conservative support is in the west where there are fewer seats. To be fair, the Conservatives ran a horrendous election campaign. They seemed caught completely off guard when the LPC deposed Trudeau and didn't seem to have a Plan B in place for in case that happened, a stunning dereliction of duty IMO. Doughy Ford knifing them in Ontario (thinking with the delusions of grandeur that seem to afflict all Ontario premiers at one time or another that if Poilievre went down the party would turn to HIM as its saviour, a truly laughable notion) didn't help either. With all that, there was STILL a late break towards the Conservatives (especially in Ontario) in the closing days of the campaign, costing the Liberals their majority. Sigh...maybe if the campaign had been a week longer...
Canadians won't wake up until it is too late! When a recession and unemployment starts to set in. We are a complacent Nation. I am starting to lose my faith on Carny. I am beginning to wonder if he is just another Liberal political "CARNEY".
you are 'starting' to lose your faith in Carny....? Then you have been duped for quite a while as well. Why only 'starting' to lose your faith???? Have you been led down the garden path and still thought everything was OK? He was lying way before he was even appointed to the PM-ship. ....at least you are going in the right direction.....
Given that he served as a paid economic "advisor" to JT for over a year but because he was paid by the LPC didn't have to abide by conflict-of-interest rules and was able to personally benefit (and did) from the policies he advocated, anyone who EVER had "faith" in him can only be someone who was maybe out of the country when all this was going on or has simply decided to turn off their brains.
Many of Canada’s problems could be resolved if we would only downsize government.

The Liberal voters' heads will come out all brown and smelly. Unfortunately, the damage to Canada will be done.
Sad to say but if Carney gets 3 more years I feel you are right.

TDS is far to entrenched in the Cdn phyche for any sense of reality to set in.
If you have been unfortunate enough to have seen someone explode like a volcano just at the word "Trump" then you have to believe TDS to be a mental health issue.

I agree with you on all points except speed. We are moving at the exact speed Ottawa moves; the speed of sound in a circle; going nowhere mighty fast.

Could someone tell Robert Fife. The blame game is all too commonplace today.
I can make it simple for the sad sacks. Cut taxes. Reduce regulation. Ditch net zero .Life will suddenly be great (again)
