I wonder if Carney will try to claim he is from Alberta when he speaks out there. And I wonder what the heck we spend on that embassy.

Martin, MC will absolutely say that he is from Alberta because the truth is that he is FROM Alberta - he left us and doesn't really think about us. He just left us behind for the bright lights of, well, Oxford, New York, Ottawa (bright lights really!?!?), London and Ottawa (bright lights really!?!?). So, yeah, he is FROM Alberta. He not only doesn't really think about us, he doesn't understand us.

I understand all of that. My point was that someone should ask him in his presser why he didn't run there if he wants to floss about that. .

You are quite correct, but he will simply deflect and will not answer with anything other than word salad. He left Alberta behind years ago and he has no understanding of us.

Joly is jumping ship and getting out of the country before the shit hits the fan. Worried the jail cell for aiding and abetting a grifter might not be her thing!

I will concur with Mr. Lilley yet again. I make no bones about it - I am not a supporter of Mark Carney. I think he is a 2 bit huckster who is in this job for the enrichment of himself and his WEF friends and investors. I think this whole Net Zero load of crap he is has been trying to sell the rest of the world for over a decade has blown up in his face - especially that grift he and Micheal Bloomberg tried to rig up - GFANZ. When that fell apart and his reputation among the global elites was somewhat sullied because they put money into it only to see it collapse like a house of cards - he came back to Canada and a fortuitous situation fell right into his lap. Trudeau and then Trump. He was not prepared for this and it’s clear to see by his complete lack of progress on any front in since he was named PM earlier this year. All we have seen is talk and him taking credit for things that were already approved previous to him assuming office and in several cases already under construction. I have no doubt he is still a grifter BUT - if he does happen to get a pipeline built to the west coast - well, then - I will re-evaluate my opinion of him. He will still have some very upset people in his cabinet - most notably his Chief Lieutenant in Quebec, that socialist clown Steven Guilbeault, as well as his sycophant Environment Minister Julie Dabrusin and possibly Gregor Robertson but if he has any hope of making this his own team, they need to either go or get on board with the new program. Jolie is another total buffoon looking to keep stuffing herself at the Liberal trough paid for by the Canadian taxpayer. It’s funny the media are not all over her wanting to go as well as Freeland - nothing to see here folks, but let one sour grapes Conservative cross the floor and another decides to go home in the spring and be with his family and all of a sudden the Conservatives are in the misdt of a huge revolt, with more desertions on the way - according to the CBC, CTV and Global. Of course none of it ever happened. Finally - as Carney stated at a news conference within the last month when asked about a deal he was said to have made with Premier Smith in regards to a promised pipeline “ Oh, that was just an MOE” ( a memorandum of understanding) - meaning that MOE’s have no meaning - they are not worth the ink they are printed with. They are non binding, they contain no timelines, no money changes hands - they are just future considerations, maybe. Carney is an expert at signing MOE’s - he has signed them with several EU nations - and he is right, they are nothing. Let’s see what his big announcement really is. I do hope it’s a solid case for a pipeline. Canada needs it.

I wonder where Carney is going to send "Uneven Steve" Guilbeault? Maybe send him to China or India so he can show them the environmental error of their ways...

The longer Zelensky holds out, the more land he will lose.

But Russia doesn't want Ukraine and never did. With Minsk agreement there would be no war, no death or destruction and no change of hand of territory.

But it was the West who wanted this war. When asked about Minsk, Merkel admitted it was a ruse, "we wanted war with Russia".

So land lost by Ukraine is fair and square.

Zelensky has The West to blame for losing territory as he is a proxy fighting their war but the most blame is for Zelensky himself - he was originally for peace but was turned by The West to go for war.

The buck stops there, if there are any bucks left. Most of it siphoned off. War is profitable for many.

Wow- Russia doesn’t want Ukraine and the West is responsible for the war? Lol. What’s is like on the Russian disinformation bot farm?

Yeahhhh. Where have you been? This started AT LEAST as far back as the 2014 Colour Revolution coup.

Commentators at THAT time realized this would be very bad in the long run for Ukraine as it became a pawn for the US foreign policy as written by Zbigniew Brzezinski in his The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives.

Brian, the problem is, Ukraine giving up some land won't solve anything. First, Russia want the whole Ukraine and more. Requiring Ukraine to reduce its military by half tells us that Russia will restart the war at the earliest convenience. Russia isn't to be trusted to honor any agreements.

Another point: if NATO allows its adversary to dictate terms - who can be a member and who can't - that means NATO is finished. It's good for nothing.

A Memorandum of Understanding? Really? It's been quite a while since I've heard such a political mishmash of weasel words. There's a phrase that defines the currently-in-vogue 'Nothing Burger'.

A pipeline to the west coast is inter provincial, therefore national. Carney could green light this project unilaterally. He has the authority and the Liberals have not been hesitant to use that authority, recklessly, if not, in fact criminally, over the past decade.

Another unfit liberal MP gets rewarded for her part in the downfall of Canada... I wonder if all the usual perpetually offended pearl clutchers will have anything to say about Carney calling several unnecessary bi-elections so he can dispose of all the has been he wants out of cabinet the way they whined about Poilievre running in a bi-election back in the summer? Things that make you go hmmmmm...

It is up to the private sector to do the heavy lifting, either there is demand for 30+ years for oil to be shipped through this pipeline and the company can make money or there is not.

Best route is to expand TMX, expand Enbridge Mainline and Flanagan South pipelines as announced these 2 combined can increase exports approximately 1 mbd, and resurrect Keystone, making a pipeline through the coastal mountains is just not realistic, just look at how many pipelines the US has to their west coast - zero.

Hello National News,

I am a representative of the High Park North Coalition ( hpnc.ca ), which was formed as a not-for-profit advocacy group to help protect our neighbourhood against massive, overdevelopment that threatens High Park’s ecosystem, watershed, commute to work, the children in surrounding schools, contribute to the extermination of rare black oak trees, and overall quality of life for all the people and living creatures within the neighbourhood.

I reach out to you directly to speak about the situation. We will be rolling a full campaign directly to many members of the media and I though a more direct approach was warranted.

As you are no doubt aware High Park is vulnerable to pollutants and sewage which may cause irreversible damage to its ecosystems. We would like to speak with you about our preferred option, stopping the development of 2 massive 40 storey skyscrapers by Elysium Investments that do not have adequate plans to mitigate flooding and sewage overflows in their building application # 25 222465 STE 04 OZ. This polluted flooding could flow right into the High Park creeks and ponds on the upper water tier and flow underground via the Laurentian River aquifer through High Park, into Lake Ontario.

The City Planning Community meeting discussing the proposed development is set for Monday December 1st between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. The location is the auditorium in Western Technical Commercial School, 125 Evelyn Crescent, Toronto (Entrance 14, accessed from the parking lot). If you or one of your colleagues would like to attend this event at, see the passionate opposition to the proposed development, we would welcome your attendance.

Please visit our website for more information ( hpnc.ca ). Would you or one of your colleagues be available to hear about this matter and discuss what we have found?

Our community values the natural environment and local waterways, and we are committed to ensuring they are protected. Your interest and potential outlining the situation to your readers could make a critical difference in holding developers and authorities accountable to safeguard these ecosystems. I would be grateful for an opportunity to discuss this further.

Thank you for your assistance in protecting our environment and for considering this urgent matter. I look forward to speaking shortly.

Minister Joly seems like a very hardworking, likeable person but her reputation is that of someone who has been able to torque her formidable organizational skills for the Liberal Party into Cabinet positions that defy her abilities.

Perhaps falling upward into a plum diplomatic posting abroad is a fitting way to end a political career in Ottawa until the Liberals decide they want a new leader.
