Carnage continues. Me Arbour fits in well to Carneys new world vision. Her statements are libspeak 101. Reruns on CBC everyday. A horrible choice indeed.
Rubio was great today !
I so enjoy USA for my short visits, one such today. It’s friendly. To strangers.
So to , is my local community, friendly. But these are acquaintances in my community.
Overall I sense a burdensome racism in Canada. I don’t get that feeling in USA.
We need that USA trade.
Carney is a fool for playing the “ eurostatesman ” facade.
It’s not a question that his despotic reign will end. It’s just “ when” , and “how broke will we be when it happens” ?
And how ruined will we be, in terms of the totalitarian censorship and technocratic shackling of us all. In addition to his Net Zero radicalism, we need to not forget he also likes the idea of a cashless society, carbon footprint tracking, and stranding of assets judged unacceptable to his climate cultist pals at the UN and WEF.
I filled out my census today. There was a lot of emphasis on my 'gender'. By the way, you can skip through the gender questions without answering. Even better, the government thought it was their business regarding how many bedrooms I have in my house and what I think my house is worth - also skipped answering these questions. About the bedrooms - what is their plan - having some homeless folks move in to empty bedrooms. About the price of my house - are they wondering how much they can get for capital gains... Totalitarian at best - total communism at worst.
Ms Saville I can’t “like” your comment but surely appreciate the information. The questions on housing and bedrooms fit a particular kind of reasoning that I had previously dismissed as “ fantastical”.
Despotic describes a ruler or government exercising absolute, oppressive, and often cruel power, typically disregarding the welfare of the people. It signifies tyrannical or autocratic behavior where power is wielded without legal restrictions, often relying on force to maintain control.
I watched Joly blathering away about who knows what on P and P last night. I had no idea what she was talking about. Carney would not hire her at Brookfield in a million years.
It would be nice if the liberals picked folks who weren’t already steeped in ‘progressive’ ideologies. Arbour was big on reforming drug laws, as in ending the ban on drugs and rather than criminalizing users, create the mess that BC created with their ‘safe supply’ boondoggle. Her logic that people taking drugs were stigmatized and we could hurt their feelings.
And, as a former supreme court judge, we already know that she is an activist.
And we should definitely congratulate Carney for choosing Canada’s next Governor General who thinks Canadian soldiers as "white boys who like guns but don't like women or anybody who doesn't look like them." Good non-racist choice Carney.
Next choice for Canada’s governor general will be Carla-Jean Stokes – you know, the person who highlighted the "white bread" nature of Canada’s WWII army photos. I guess she missed that day in class that mentioned the overwhelming majority of people in Canada at that time were of European descent.
This is no accident , Canada is fodder for Woke, WEF, Liberals. Are foolishness enough to believe it's just 10 years of inadvertent errors. Of course not. With any luck Alberta will let the East stew in their own juice.
I always thought Minister Joly was in over her head. I can see her undermining any progress that may or may not have been made. My question is, who was giving her advice at the time to maintain the “elbows up” persona while the rest of Team Carney had the finish line in sight?
Brian, you say you have respect for the office that Louise Arbour is about to be handed? How so?
Because I'm not seeing any respect for the process established a decade ago by former Prime Minister Stephen Harper that was a more open, transparent way of selecting someone. Instead, that's just been quietly shredded as the PMO does what it does (whatever that may be - we just don't know), followed by the Prime Minister rolling out his selected candidate before the cameras.
I am Canadian. I have lived in the USA for 46 years. So i have just plain forgotten why, oh why, Canada needs a monarch, and a governor general. Really....who are these people? And other than Canadians giving them money to put their personal stamp of approval on your laws, and therefore the future of your children....just why? In the USA we have the "no kings" protesters who hate trump...but who slobber all over the King and Queen and think Trump was just so rude....uh...no, he knows American history. And he was telling them, and the world, that America has no kings. That Charles and Camilla have feet of clay, just like the rest of us. Somebody out there...tell me...why does Canada still need to be part of the Commonwealth? And why kings? Governor Generals? How does this system benefit Canadians? I am open to information and trying to remember.
It’s the ridiculous facade of kings & queens & their royal entourage taking up time & costing money … and for what exactly? It’s like Cdn children playing pretend. Let’s dress up, wear hats, and stand in breathless, rapturous awe. How does having this link to Old Blighty enhance our lives? …. Oh riiight, one can say, “I’m NOT American.” It’s an old hangover from those United Empire Loyalists - mainly populating Ottawa aka The Laurentian Elites.
Time will tell how our new gov gen will be.. we didn't hear much about what the last one did other that give out the order of canada. So, I'm on the fence for now. She does make a big salary plus clothing allowance.
And has many degrees, like Carneys wife.
The vic towes comment was in relation to Israel. Carney is on the same page as her regarding that country.

Well, I hope the people voting liberal clue in once they realize Carneys new world order. It means pilfer Canada’s money then leave and go back to USA to his real home and American business.

Exactly. I had no idea these questions are on a census. I’ll put a big FO on mine. Name address. Gender. That’s it

SMH.
An accurate Description of PM Carney
Despotic describes a ruler or government exercising absolute, oppressive, and often cruel power, typically disregarding the welfare of the people. It signifies tyrannical or autocratic behavior where power is wielded without legal restrictions, often relying on force to maintain control.
Thanks for these Brian. It’s a lot to take in and I appreciate your common sense approach.
I watched Joly blathering away about who knows what on P and P last night. I had no idea what she was talking about. Carney would not hire her at Brookfield in a million years.

Another liberal genius.
Yes at one time I would have agreed that we were a very European nation. Has Carney ever looked around at the demographics of Canada now? What a tool!
This is no accident , Canada is fodder for Woke, WEF, Liberals. Are foolishness enough to believe it's just 10 years of inadvertent errors. Of course not. With any luck Alberta will let the East stew in their own juice.
I’m enjoying your daily updates Brian and appreciate your perspective that comes from your knowledge and understanding of all these issues.
I always thought Minister Joly was in over her head. I can see her undermining any progress that may or may not have been made. My question is, who was giving her advice at the time to maintain the “elbows up” persona while the rest of Team Carney had the finish line in sight?
She’s just another globalist puppet sent by the UN to help finish off Canada
I am far from an ageist given that I just asked for my second retirement extension from my partners but isn’t 79 just a tad old?

It's all so... Laurentian...

The GG should have been abolished decades ago!

We can only hope for fairness.
Good luck with fairness Verna.
Lol.. like a sports game. Dont play fair .there's a penalty box..fines and suspensions..
