CDNs need to suffer before they wake up! Liberals are dragging this country into a recession and deep trouble! I believe Carney wants the Ont auto industry to close and will do everything not to have a deal with the US! He wants all gas engines gone! Read his book he is doing almost exactly what he wrote

VitaminMarni's avatar

We have been suffering. For a very long time. Yet it doesn't seem to matter to any of the Liberal voters; they refuse to see it because none of them are critical thinkers nor do they ever see any anti-Liberal reality reporting. So we're in an endless downward information vacuum. The country is getting beaten into the ground and we, the sane, are apparently powerless to change it.

Let’s remember if we sell a lot of steel or aluminum it is still a small % of what the US makes or buys world wide! Plus Canada has gotten free military protection from the US so we don’t have 10,000 Russian troops

Landing and claiming parts of the artic! CDN has become irrelevant! Thanks Liberals and Carney !

Are sure about those by-election seats? Recent polls have NDP leads in both Toronto ridings and the Quebec ridings probably goes to the block

They always do. These WEFers always do exactly what they say they want to do!!!

Let Justin Trudeau’s brother tell you the who & how the WEFers placed their puppets in your government.

So where does the us get its steel and aluminum.. us has put a 50% tarriff and can has sought out other markets.. ..is the usa getting it from these other markets? .. they still make cars ..we dont.. doesnt add up. For me!

John Smith's avatar

They get cars and metals from Mexico! Mexico has a full trade deal because they want to get along whereas Carney wants to separate from the US as a means to push us further left! Carney is an extreme left radical! I ask what will India, China or Europe buy from Canada ! Maybe some uranium or canola but nothing that creates jobs? China just put new tariffs in tires made in Canada. CDNs are fools to support this anti us rhetoric but massive MSM propaganda is being pumped out to sway our views !

Forgot mexico.. they are part of cusma and taking all the business playing nice to Trump. Tks.

dont we already have city run grocery stores ..it called food banks..

Are there any Liberals that could cross floor to Conservatives? Not a single one that may be horrified by what’s happening ?

Christine Barnett's avatar

The Liberals follow the money trail.

Verna Scott's avatar

Conservatives take a stand.....liberals dont as we have seen.. they move on. And dont deal with problems. Thats for cons..!!!!

Can the Opposition Parties not force a non confidence vote prior to April 13 to force a General Election?

At least if he got his majority it would be Legitimate.

3 more years of Carney will drive both Alberta and SASK out, likely BC as well in the longer term.

Kim's avatar

Except Carney is bribing the Oppostion for a Majority. This is TREASON!

Liz Innes's avatar

Please don't say that Carney will have a majority. It is just too much to bear. There will be nothing left of our country.

Tulio Massini's avatar

Brian, what can Canadians do to fight against all the corruption the Liberal party is involved in, because our judicial system seem to ignore these things.....are Canadians just doomed to accept the corruption??!

Carney moved Brookfield's head office from Toronto to New York because the US has lower taxes and that's good for Brookfield. As Canada's PM in office a year now why no mention of lowering taxes on Canadian businesses? Wouldn't that be good for us?

I'm afraid he's exactly as the British say, creates a crisis then offers himself as the solution.

Tulio Massini's avatar

No mention of lowering taxes on Canadian businesses because he only does things that will profit his investment portfoglio.

Kim's avatar

It’s a Conflict of Interest. We need to write our Senate for a Non Confidence Vote. Just like Justin Trudeau.

Rod's avatar

Somebody in Britain did say that (paraphrasing) Carney hypes fear then offers himself as the solution, just as we saw him use Trump to promote himself in his run for PM then fall flat.

Next point if I understand correctly, you're saying it's good business practice to move your head office to NYC because Canada is just a branch plant economy. My point is we need to compete with the US to keep our businesses in Canada. In this regard Carney seems more do as I say, not as I do and that has to be bad business for any Prime Minister of Canada.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, thanks!

Carney and his cabinet have not done anything to help Canadians with respect to food and housing. Lines at food banks are enormous, homelessness is increasing. People are buying groceries with their credit cards and getting payday loans. Crime is out of hand in Canada. What is going to happen to Canada over the next three years with Carney in charge?

K Brooker's avatar

The numbers for the Liberals in Alberta will go down again as we get no pipelines and all get poorer.

What is the issue between Pollievre and Ford? Do you think Ford is dragging down federal Conservative support in Ontario?

Christine Barnett's avatar

The greatest issue/problem that faces Canada in particular (and all democracies) is the lack of knowledge in global affairs, history, and in general basic economics controlled by the elite. This control also includes a drastic change in democratic demographics. Socialism, totalitarianism, authoritarianism, communism, etc. have reconstructed our values and apparently our common sense. Diverse societies will never completely integrate.

The Modern Mantuamaker's avatar

Honestly, I don't really think that's the problem. It certainly is a big problem but I don't think it's the biggest. The biggest problem is attitude - a dominant mix of apathy and entitlement. You could give these people all the facts in the world and they’ll ignore or twist whatever they don't like in order to fit their preferred predetermined narrative. I think Canada is proving to be a victim of its own success. As a country we’ve had it too easy and too good for too long. The country as a whole now prefers to elect weak leaders who tell them comforting lies over genuinely strong ones who tell hard truths. It's now not just necessary for the country to experience the consequences of that it's simply inevitable. We're really not changing course at all, anything the looks that way is little more than performative and we're continue to slide into decline.

Kevin 🇨🇦's avatar

Interesting points. Who do you consider to be a strong leader who would tell us hard truths?

Christine Barnett's avatar

Good question. I like Pollievre. However, he may need to be a bit more globally “seasoned” before being accepted by the masses. I think he’s realizing that. Therefore, his European circuit and now Rogan. He is not a stupid man and he does have Canada and Canadians best interests at heart.

Not sure if there are any contenders in the future for Conservatives…but I certainly hope so. As far as Liberals, I think they’ve lost their way. If we were a third world country I might applaud Carney. He seems disinterested in the people in general. Typical corporate attitude.

Honestly, I wasn’t a Harper fan but mainly due to personality. But…he knew economics. And he loved his country.

Looks and perceptions are sometimes deceptive, no? 😉

The Modern Mantuamaker's avatar

I think the closest thing to it right now is Pierre. And he's been painted as divisive and anti-Canadian for doing so, without even being as harsh or blunt as he could justifiably be.

Christine Barnett's avatar

And he calmly presents fact based evidence. The data is there to prove his points. So is history. He has been mentored by Harper, which , economically speaking, speaks for itself. He will also gain globally recognition. Seems to be an intelligent empathetic individual.

Christine Barnett's avatar

The absolute truth in your assessment.

I’m not certain which category these “supporters” fit into. You would have to be comfortable with the direction that your life and future are heading, be oblivious to the global hierarchy, or part and party to that same elite conglomerate. Or they are completely clueless and easily lead by optics.

But as you stated, the decline will continue.

Could it be intentional perhaps?? 😉

Changing the point a bit, there's been a lot talk about Greenland again and I was thinking about Trumps statements that NATO nations weren't paying their share, well by implying that he wanted to take over Greenland, he managed to get a increased focus on Greenland security and there's now military focus on Greenland and the US didn't have to pay a thing?
