You had me at CBC is lying to you…every single day

Christine Barnett's avatar

At the very least, incomplete truths. Biased. Support who your pay check comes from.

Mike Blew's avatar

No not incomplete truths, out right lying! It was illegal to lie in the media but guess who changed that law? Trudeau senior

JGP's avatar

He knew a lot about lying.

Merla Parker's avatar

So did his son....

Then Carney had a good teacher

And if you lack moral fortitude. 😉

Well I guess you don’t bite the hand that’s feeding you

Why are we all compelled to support the CBC financially when it misrepresents situations like this substantially? I sometimes fear Canada is cooked because the systems we have set up feel unreformable.

This would have all worked out differently if Trudeau had gone to Mar-A-Lago with a plan to combat Canada's fentanyl industry and another to start vetting immigrants. That would have been a win-win. Instead he went there for a selfie

Mexico is helping the US with the border and took out a cartel leader. Mexico and the US are negotiating. And, once again, without Canada because we are amoral idiots.

To get a trade deal with China, we are willing to overlook slavery and we are willing to task the RCMP with sending Chinese dissidents back to their deaths. But we aren't willing to do those two things that would help Canadians in order to get a trade deal with the US. Again, we are amoral idiots.

Canada/US relations would improve if the media would cut it with the Trump bashing and just talk about the issues. I’m not just talking CBC here either. It’s a vast majority of them. Who in this world gets to work with only those they like? So you don’t like Trump. There’s a lot more at stake here than your feelings. Trump will be gone in two years. So will our economy if we don’t play this right.

Ruth B.'s avatar

Perfect. “Who in this world gets to work with only those they like?” As I’ve said before, Cdns are such children. Booboos, owies, hurt feelings bc someone SAID something, OMG! 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s beyond tedious & downright stupid.

As a public broadcaster, is there no option to bring a law suit against the CBC* on behalf of taxpayers or as a taxpayer for purposely presenting misleading information? I’m sick of paying for news outlets that deliver only liberal propaganda and lies.

*and every other MSM news outlet for that matter

Is it a "public" or "government" broadcaster? I view it more accurately fitting in the latter. A dull government agency, its mandate set by government.

And it shows in the dismal ratings. Once we Boomers sail off into the sunset, who will be left to view, read, or listen to it...?

Lyn graham's avatar

Yes it is a government broadcaster.

Lyn graham's avatar

Then Canadians will have all the information needs to make their own choice wth full information. Not one sided

Lyn graham's avatar

I wish. Best we can do is get Catney to stop giving billions to cbc

Renee's avatar

Thank you for explaining this so well. I have a much better understanding of what’s at stake with these trade negotiations. Maybe our premiers can come to their senses and put pressure on the Liberals to do what’s best for Canada.

Honourrite's avatar

Yes, we'll explained!

Carnage wants his New World Order and a Globalist agenda to continue.

Trump is dismantling the Globalist agenda and British control via Iran and oil control.

Carnage has lost but Canada has not applied enough pressure on him yet !

Lynne Fjellner's avatar

I think it’s awesome that you have told us the truth! Thank you.

This article has been very enlightening, I hope with the free trade committee we can negotiate a good deal for the US and Canada. My government does not impress me as I feel they do not really have our Canadian interests at the forefront, it always seems political posturing for the Liberal agenda only.

You are not a traitor to Canada - our Fed Gov is traitorous to we Canadians - saddling us with high food prices via monopolistic supply chain MISmanagement. They are taking food out of the mouths of babies, children and elderly because of resultant higher prices.

K Brooker's avatar

Don’t forget high inflation brought by our government’s debt and money printing!

Thanks for keeping it real Brian. This is the kind of information and updates Canadians need to hear regarding our US trade negotiations. It’s especially encouraging to see that Ms. Charette is taking a level headed approach to the talks.

Maria P.'s avatar

Thank you for this explanation Brian.

Christine Barnett's avatar

I honestly don’t think that Carney wants to negotiate with the US.

I believe his thought process is directed to global trade diversification (at some point) and not to “subjugating” to the US, even though it would be a more than viable option in various economic sectors.

Which superior “god complex” will win out and claim victory?

Both are willing to “cut off their noses to save their faces”…so to speak.

I’m sure the business communities will eventually show their intelligence before either government will.

They will bend to public pressure eventually…baring a 3rd world war. Then who will the western democracies side with.

We all need each other. Strength in numbers, right.

W. C. Douglas Calder's avatar

"cut off their noses to spite their faces". subtle, but significant.

K Brooker's avatar

The US can survive without us. Mexico will take our place. We can’t survive without them.

Christine Barnett's avatar

Agreed in part. Who will, and is, replacing them. THAT coalition has to be tempered. Some trade yes, but this is not the direction Carney is taking.

CBC is nothing but Ass Wipe. Just stop giving them credit

He didn't give CBC credit, he rightfully gave "CBC watcher" on X credit for their post.

But you're right, CBC is propaganda garbage.

YMS's avatar

You almost have to wonder what side the Canadian government is on. It sure doesn't feel like they're on the side of Canadians at the moment.

Rhetoric doesn't fill stomachs, play action with toy soldiers doesn't build a solid, resilient economy. Fear-mongering doesn't promote patriotism, it just creates dependency and that dependency is what the liberals thrive on.

Canada is a weak country getting weaker but it sure doesn't feel like the Carney liberals are feeling any urgency to do anything to address or redress anything.

Mike Blew's avatar

This is not by accident so they will not try and save anything except the money they steal from us.

YMS's avatar

Liberal politicians are a despicable lot.
