Israel lights up the skies above Tehran, Minister Gary still needs to explain, and Joly's folly...
By taking out much of Iran's nuclear capability, the Israeli's are making the world a safer place.

Israel lit up the night sky across Iran overnight.
Nuclear sites were struck, the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed, military establishments across the country were hit as was Tehran. Iran responded with a feeble attack powered by drones that Israel easily repelled, missiles were also launched with some intercepted by Jordan and other neighbouring countries, how many were able to hit Israel is unclear.
While many people are concerned about the possibility of World War III starting as a result of this, without Israel’s strike, things would have been worse.
U.S. President Donald Trump had been trying to strike a deal with Iran that would see them give up their nuclear ambitions. Instead of striking a deal with the Americans, Iran’s hardliners accelerated their attempts to obtain nukes.
“Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!” Trump posted on his Truth Social account.
He also encouraged Iran to come back to talks to avoid more attacks by Israel.
That seems unlikely given the statements coming out of the Islamic Republic officials in Tehran.
“The Zionist regime’s acts of aggression against Iran could not have been carried out without the coordination and approval of the United States. Consequently, the US government, as the primary patron of this regime, will also bear responsibility for the dangerous repercussions of the Zionist regime’s reckless actions,” the X account belonging to the Foreign Ministry, Islamic Republic of Iran posted.
The Americans have said they were not involved in the attack and warned Iran against striking American targets.
Canada’s pathetic contribution so far is a post on X by Foreign Minister Anita Anand who calls for deescalation from both sides as if they are equivalent.
Israel did what needed to be done, they did what Western countries have refused to do as Iran has built up its nuclear capabilities over the last many years. For years, the mullahs in Tehran have been spreading their hate, their violence, their sick and twisted ideology through proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas.
These strikes have set Iran back, but this fight isn’t over yet.
Air India Flight 171...
The terrifying crash of Air India Flight 171 on Thursday came just shy of the 40th anniversary of the Air India bombing, which of course originated in Canada and saw 268 Canadians lose their lives. The Air India bombing was the deadliest terrorist attack involving an airplane until 9/11 hit.
There is no indication that terrorism was involved here, in fact, very little is known. The black box recordings have been recovered, and investigators are trying to determine a cause.

Minister Gary still has some explaining to do...
I wrote in this space yesterday about Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree and the news that he will recuse himself from certain terror files – specifically the Tamil Tigers and World Tamil movement, both banned terror groups in Canada.
This simply can’t stand, either the minister can do his job or he needs to be replaced.
There are claims that Anandasangaree has ties to the Tamil Tigers, those claims go back to 2014 and are published on the website of the Sri Lankan government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I asked both Anandasangaree’s office and Prime Minister Carney’s office about all of this.
Their responses are in my just published Toronto Sun column, they may not leave you feeling good.
Bad sign about that defence spending...
Are we spending billions more on defence to reequip the troops or to boost failing industries in favoured regions? With Melanie Joly’s comments I’m worried it is the latter.
“There’s enough investment for everyone to benefit. And when we think of military investment, we shouldn’t think that it’s purely military,” she said during a speech in Montreal.
Can’t we just do the right thing and not make it about pork barrel politics?
What to read...
We have another writer doubtful that Mark Carney really wants to build pipelines. Jay Goldberg looks at Carney’s language, looks at B.C. Premier David Eby’s language, and concludes this is all concocted to ensure no pipelines are built.
I wrote about Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow telling people to boycott Home Depot a little while ago. She was on Newstalk 1010 with John Moore Wednesday morning and got asked about it. Chow says she never called for a boycott of the company that employs thousands in Toronto, including with a head office. Joe Warmington is writing about why it’s a bad thing the mayor is trying to gaslight us.
J.D. Tuccille is not a big Trump fan, he leans more libertarian, but he says the rioting in Los Angeles is helping bolster Trump’s argument for an immigration crackdown. Of note, J.D. lives in Arizona, a beautiful state I visited last October in the final weeks of the election campaign. In Arizona, Trump won a significant portion of the Latino vote with his promise to crackdown on illegal immigration, which and increasing number of Latinos support.
F*** Israel and f*** you,you sorry excuse you call yourself a Christian while they slaughter the christians.
