Here comes the big U.S.-Israel split...
The Iran deal that Donald Trump is pushing is creating a divide between The U.S. and Israel.
One of the strangest things for me about the Trump deal on Iran is that Mark Carney is praising it as much as he is.
Canada’s Liberal leader, like many of his middle power buddies like the deal because it ends the fighting and brings about stability in the region they say. I’m not sure we can ever have stability in the region when the Ayatollah’s will still be in charge, will still be funding their terrorist proxy armies and while they continue to threaten their neighbours.
On this week’s Full Comment Podcast I interview Eylon Levy, an expert on the politics of all of this and Danny Citrinowicz, an expert on the security side.
As a little bonus, I’ve posted Ben Shapiro’s take on the Iran deal as well.
From the official show notes:
President Donald Trump’s deal with Iran is seen as a total capitulation to the Islamic Republic, and most of all in Israel, which fought alongside the Americans. Brian speaks with Eylon Levy, former Israeli government spokesman, and Danny Citrinowicz, a former Israeli intelligence officer now with the Atlantic Council. Levy explains how the deal allows Tehran to drive a wedge between Washington and Jerusalem, just as America’s historic support for the Jewish state wanes — perhaps permanently. Citrinowicz analyzes why the joint U.S.-Israeli operation was ill-conceived from the start and why it’s ending badly, and warns that Israel’s ongoing battle to curb threats from Iran and its proxies may now only serve to further alienate the White House. Everybody talks about regime change in Iran, but when is someone going to liberate us from our tyrannical government? I’ll never forgive our government for the lockdowns and calling a fake national emergency.
Donald's EGO and his Arrogance have ensured that this "DEAL" will fail. ISRAEL has been thrown to the Wolves, quite literally, (after ALL she did to make sure that Trump's military campaign, would be a resounding success) and Donald does not have the faintest Idea, of what it is like to live EVERYDAY, in the Mid-East, nor, does he have the faintest CLUE, as to what Israel faces every single day she exists.
It ONLY TAKES ONE ATOMIC EXPLOSION, to wipe Israel off the face of this Earth and every thinking Israeli citizen, is fully aware of this fact, whereas Trump and his crowd, (possibly Marco Rubio being the exception), want to see as many Petro Dollars from Muslim controlled countries, flowing into the U.S. economy, in any way they can be enticed to do so.
THIS latest international foul-up on Donald's part, may cost him and the Republican Party dearly in the up coming November elections.
