Ford is a Red Liberal in a Blue Suit. He wasted billions cozying up to JT on EV battery plants. Useless.

I believe there is a perception that Ford has become a full blown Red Tory and that doesn’t sit well with Traditional Blue Tories.

Well that will be the end of my conservative membership and I'm in Ontario. Imagine the western reaction if by some happenstance Ford became leader would be the end of the party out west. Lilley keeps bringing this stupid idea up, maybe his friends in the chattering class are not happy with the direction of the party and if that is the case start a new one with who you worship

Ford could be eyeing the Liberal leadership federally? Carney won’t last long and he will then go back to his empire. Maybe 18 months.

And add another 200 billion to our debt. Most of Canada believe there are no repercussions, just merrily spend, the realists know it will destroy us.

More unnecessary evidence reinforcing what any intellectually honest person with half a brain already knows.

Doug Ford needs to display some actual spine, just a modicum of character, (I know, difficult for him) and cross the floor, officially joining the Liberal Party. He is a two-faced, despicable human being, ergo, he will fit right in.

I've noticed that the mainstream media (which now, apparently, includes the Sun) is beginning to ramp up its support for Ford - and Carny by association - by inferring that Ford has only turned Liberal since Carny was anointed. This allows Ford to continue fawning all over Carny as though he were the second coming whose boots require extra polish.

This is a false narrative.

Doug Ford began actively campaigning for the Liberals long before He-Who-Must-No-Longer-Mentioned was shoved out the moon door. There are a multitude of publicly available photo ops that Ford provided for Trudeau (oops, sorry, I spoke his name) showing Doug, in a subservient, obsequious pose, smiling up at that waste of oxygen. These photo ops began about four years ago, long before Carny was even being mentioned. All in the public record. His move to the Liberal Party has nothing to do with its leader.

I confess to not understanding his motivation - certainly, he cannot believe that he has a chance in Hell of assuming the Federal Conservative leadership?

I allow my mind to wander off into flights of fancy at times, and I've wondered whether the Liberals may have a sordid picture or video of Doug. Maybe with a goat? Sorry, just kidding. Couldn't help that.

Brian Lilley: thank you for your posts. I agree. Doug Ford is best in his present position.
