I hope D’Entremont enjoys his 30 pieces of silver from the WEF. History will not be kind to him. If the Liberals are forecasting a $78 billion deficit - expect the real deficit to come in at $128 billion.

I expected really bad, but it is really, really BAD. Carney was landed on us to destroy our economy. Canada is LOST. The Opposition Party’s had BETTER call non-confidence because this POS so-called budget will totally screw our children and grandchildren. These Liberals are OUT OF CONTROL with their spending of OUR money. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

The budget does nothing for cost of living ,food, and housing.. but as i wstch cnn and the nyc mayors race they are saying the same things. High food, rent and cost if living..mandami is offering a wsy out of that.. really?

The envirovision thing, he must think we need more fun lol ..hello. yes..

The floor crosser, hes no hero.. in the army he'd be called a turn coat.. the conservative voters put him there.. should be a fine if he wants to go. $10,000..dishonest.. jmo

This budget is similar to Trudeaus . A nothing burger..

Look forward to your articles..

Nothing in the budget about the now forgotten promise to remove all inter provincial trade barriers by Canada Day? Quelle suprise!

Just so you know Brian, half a century ago the Eurovision Contest was actually quite good. ABBA may be the most notable winners in this contests history. Like much in the music industry these days, Eurovision has fallen to virtual irrelevance.

I was going to say something about Abba winning. I lived in the Netherlands at that time and it was huge.

Politics seems to pervade most public events. Eurovision has some real talent but the popularity contest relegates the result to high school election genre.revenge of the trivial.

You know if an MP had an accident and wasn't able to continue representing the riding, there would be a by-election... hmm

Also, maybe MPs shouldn't be allowed to cross the floor without triggering a by-election in their riding? You know, to keep them honest and help prevent unfortunate accidents from happening.

Hi Brian!

An additional 150million injection into the CBC? Seriously?

The CBC needs to be DEFUNDED!

Follow the money … what are they getting for lying to and betraying the constituents who voted for them? They should have to resign, not ‘cross the floor’.

The “floor crossing” is a slick move. The Conservatives do not want to approve the budget and trigger an election, because the odds are high that the remaining NDP seats will all go liberal (end of NDP) and give them a majority. But they also do not want to approve the budget.

So they send an agent, maybe one more, who is about to retire anyway. A “sacrifice fly”…

Well done!

Politicians don’t retire or die - they just smell that way.

The speculation on the NDP votes is flawed. Every NDP supporter is an activist without regard for the financial burden.

If an mp elected as a member for one party should not be allowed to join another, if they quit the party it should trigger a bye election and then they can run for the other party.

Second, there should be recall for federal members of parliment, the number of petitioners required being 30% of those who voted in that riding in the previous election (not like in BC where it's 40% of registered voters I believe).

There needs to be a mechanism that gives the power back to those the snakes are supposed to represent and work for, the bar needs to be lower so it attainable and so keeps the snakes on their toes for fear of losing their undeserved grift.

I believe that if you cross the line to join another party there should be a by election in that riding to find out if the people still support that candidate

This Eurovision thing, let me guess, is a "capital investment". Absolutely transformative one. Not seen in generations.

Floor crossers are the worst of betrayer's. That same history behind DS has kept many people from supporting her. It doesn't go away - it's there forever. Confident if she could that part of things over again she wouldn't have done what she did.

As for the budget. Liberals are once again proving they are not capable of running a country let alone bringing it out of debt. You have to be serious about the economy in order to do that. They are not serious about the economy, the continued infiltration of drug cartels in this country, the lack of affordable housing while opening doors to more immigration and they they think if they keep adding band aid fixes to these problems this will somehow change all of the above. I'd be utterly embarrassed to belong to this party.
