Prediction: As timely photo ops and screeds in favour of government control morph into legislation, media figures whose work is increasingly unread* will reappear as - disinformation control czars.
Canada has much to offer the U.S. and we are also a stable trading partner and allies of course. Still are or could be. We are at a crucial crossroad and Eastern Canadians have yet again shot themselves in the foot by voting for Liberals. How typical of a politician,in this case Eby, to feign outrage and blame someone else for their problems. The AI issue deflects from the ugly fact that there IS no mental health system in B.C. Patients are taken to the "psych ward" of the nearest hospital and released asap because there is simply no room for them. But now Eby has an excuse and I'm sure he'll use it at every opportunity.
B.C. is stuck with the worst Premier in the country and the Opposition is still in disarray. No relief in the future.
It appears that, as usual, the government will attempt to address the problem by treatment of the symptoms, while avoiding any discussion of the problem, as it leads back to an already despised healthcare system. Any “doctor” that believes that the addition of female hormones to the bloodstream of a male already diagnosed with psychosis needs their license to practice pulled forever. The government will want to avoid this solution at all costs, because of where it leads.
