Is there anything the government is not subsidizing or involved in? And that on the backs of Canadians.

To be fair, the CRTC is not the only bureaucracy that needs to be deconstructed, so to speak.

well...the CRTC has allowed degrading explicit content on Bell tv, a violation of the code. A new 'free preview' station was airing on Bell Fibe, and I had to call half dozen times to get it off my TV.....and that's because no one at Bell knew how to get it off, until I spoke to the 6th rep. I'm sure the CRTC takes its direction from the man with his elbows up in one way or another....

One thing I hate the most are hypocrites. The Carney/Fords who "hate" the US and suck up.

Ford has trashed Trump and America for a year + he’s an A-hole.

Now he thinks shaking hands and a good old pat on the back will give us a great trade deal, doubt it, I wouldn’t give the time of day

As far as praising carney for backing off the 15% tax, why?

He made a fool out of himself again, he’s such a fool, an embarrassment , both him and Ford.

Big talk, trash talk, then gravelling, honest to God could it get any worse, just incompetent

Well, better than taking more pit shots. I thought the latest -- celebrating the 250th -- is a nice gesture. Nice column, again, Brian.

We all shake hands after an intense hockey game..its just a game..

Why didn't our govt make a bigger deal if the 250th birthday of the USA . I knew little about it. Onky what i read in the Sun. I find that kind of small. Dinner was nice.. but the taxpayers spend in the usa on vacations and shopping. A parade..??? Too much... show us..

Its so touchy right now, ... and i i did read in an article that a US rep. Said they were not sure Canada was worth the juice for its squeeze.. ...yes, grit our teeth and smile... hurtful.

My guess why we put money(tarriffs) where our mouth is. Jmo

Your right Brian. Diplomacy.. wins!!!

"...before it destroys Canadian industry" ? The CRTC is an anachronism staffed with pompous and oblivious clowns. Burn it down!

Get rid of the CRTC? I second that motion
