I have not been too concerned about our country , but i have been of late. Its quite concerning for our children going forward. My grandkids. How many wars do we need to be happy.
It was obvious to me that T would win after the Brexit vote and I said so at the time(to lots of guffaws). Travelled the day after that election to Bermuda and met some USAnians on the beach later that afternoon and they were thinking about not going home. Quite hilarious.
Too bad we can't dump Prime Ministers as easily as the UK can.

In my opinion, the Canadian Conservative's will not return to power until there are enough Canadians so disgusted and fed up of the Liberals that their voting numbers will be overwhelming - despite the thumb on the scale for the Liberals.
Why not Pierre? He is a family man, who obviously loves Canada. He cares about regular citizens who want to see their children succeed. He wants to make a deal with the US so our economy doesn’t tank. I am not sure why so many people dislike him. Is it all the negative coverage CBC and CTV do? Open your eyes and actually look beyond the lies our Liberal media tell you. I go to Pierre’s videos and actually listen to his speeches. He loves Canada.
He says he is representing the working people and that we need to cut government meanwhile he has been feeding at the government trough since his early twenties. Meanwhile he lives in a government provided 8-bedroom mansion - Stornoway - plus has a chef, housekeeper, chauffeur and a $78,000 annual budget for operating costs provided for him on top of his $300000 salary and ridiculous pension. He should lead by example and give up some of his his perks.
He brings no experience outside politics and pretty much has zero actual accomplishments when working in government under Harper providing no evidence he can actually get anything done.
Would love for the Conservatives to bring in someone with actual experience outside the Ottawa bubble instead they present us with duds like Poilievre and Scheer.
It has nothing to do with tone, and don't mistake scrutiny of our elected leaders as a "purity test". We're in the same situation as every western country in the world. Our leaders signed on to treaties, pacts, conventions, and alliances that nobody voted for, and it's impacted every business in every industry. It all came with a cost. Businesses have raised prices to compensate for the cost. Then when they lost business, they had to raise prices to compensate for the loss. The next step is to move to the US, where the policies have been reversed...and it's not unpatriotic to move to a place where people can survive. This is happening!!! We're being hollowed out, and because people are telling Poilievre to 'stop being mean' NOBODY is standing up for the average citizen.
