There is nothing humourous about this. It is a nasty attack on ordinary citizens. In addition to going after the poor judgement regarding content, someone needs to investigate the costs for this misguided production. People were flown across the country - all expenses paid -- in order to set up this elaborate ruse. So is the CBC budget so big that they no longer care about relative costs. This whole thing is a complete embarassment and shows the very poor decision making going on at CBC. Yes -- Marc Miller should be called to account.

Satire is not trapping real people into the position of twisting their words to try and get a reaction about their beliefs or actions. CBC has no idea what humor is, obviously neither does APTN. If they want to bring to light the treatment of indigenous people maybe they should start to look within their own community as 70% of the abuse and murder of their most vulnerable is committed by other indigenous peoples.

Right on Lori.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

So why are they not “pranking” Liberals as well, if “ inclusiveness” is one of the goals of this type of program ? It’s nothing more that Indigenous propaganda using government funding to embarrass people who are asking reasonable questions. It needs to be scrapped.

"Yesterday I was able to break the news that the show was production of the show was being paused. It hasn’t been cancelled, it may still air"...

Time for the CBC to be paused, not yet cancelled, it may still air... pending a review of it's useless performance, management, and general misrepresentation of conservatives in Canada and around the world.

The very fact that is happening in plane site with billions of tax payers money is an absolute fing disgrace as always !!

Who the Hell still supports anything this Liberal Propaganda Machine does ?

Just think of how hospitals could be built with all the money pissed away on The Communist Broadcast Corporation

I sure as hell dont want my tax money going to this hell hole of curated propaganda, not that i ever listen or watch CBC. Its simply disgusting how the media has damaged Canada and hoodwinked so many of my fellow Baby Boomers into thinking that 'Oh the media would never lie!' It just sickens me. And when i found out that one of my longtime closest school friend's son produces episodes for Rosemary Barton Live, & About That with Andrew Chang, I just wanted to vomit.

Round and round we go…

That seems reasonable given the toxicity that CBC has been, and continues to be.

GEM, This Hour, and everything else remotely associated to CBC is a cancer to society.

Agree. Class action law suit against the CBC is required imo . Beyond belief.

Everyone needs to read Lindsay Shepherd's "Diversity and Exclusion: Confronting the Campus Free Speech Crisis". I had friends who served on WLU's board when all of this was going on and most of them were gutless cowards(not my friends).

The CBC doesn't understand how comedy works. It is not funny if you are cruel to or don't like your target. It's the reason Baldwin's imitation of T on SNL is not funny and Johnson's is.

Karen Benz's avatar

Disgraceful, but really I don't expect much more from the CBC. They're bought and paid for by the Liberals so pranking them would be a no no.

I wholeheartedly agree with Frances when she says the CBC should clear house and get real journalists. Certainly the ones presently in place have forgotten, if they ever knew, good news is unbiased. It should have integrity. It’s a long time since it had it. One point I don’t agree with her on is when she says she doesn’t think it should be defunded. I used to hold CBC in high esteem. Now I’m with Brian, defund it and what we save in taxes will help to pay down the national debt.

Mark Miller was not good in the Immigration portfolio and hasn’t learned anything since he was moved.

Can you imagine the outrage if they were to “prank” liberals or indigenous. At the very least it would be seen as racist.

And they truly think that this is a good defense: "but others also doin this!"

I thought they would need prior and informed consent?🤣😂🤣

Flush this horrible excuse for an entertainment medium down the drain.

What an execrable, despicable way to treat your fellow human beings.

I get it that Canada is the most woke of all woke Nations; that is not an excuse for savage, humourless programming.

This wretched pit of putrescence cannot be defunded fast enough.

How much did it cost us? The releases are worthless, which I wrote about yesterday morning.

Shame on taxpayers servants blowing our wad and creating hatred and division… Justin Trudeau at it again for fun?
