I don't believe for a minute, no...a second...that our gas hikes are related to the war. It seems that gas prices go up and down like yoyos just before a long weekend, or after 9pm. The gas that we are buying now was likely in reserves from 6 months, or a year ago, when prices were not reflective of a war. I can buy gas from a certain station, and 5 miles away, the same gas station price is 10/litre different. Or prices at Costco can change 5x/day. War related??? not a chance. As I have said for years....the gas prices are just a game being played by the big companies, with the media spinning and gaslighting as they usually do.
Being uninformed is a choice Canadians make. Getting real, truthful information isn’t that hard but Canadians are inherently lazy and always leave it to others to figure things out which brings is to where we are today. A government that lies or at the very least stretches the truth with impunity, an electorate that doesn’t know any better and a media that refuses to hold the government to account because their existence depends on said government. What an absolute shit show Canada has become.
As to doing our part to help the world, the liberals under both Trudeau and Carney have been a total embarrassment and Canadians don’t even have enough pride to stand up and speak out… pathetic.

Canada has 1/6 of the world's oil; 1/5 of the worlds WATER, ZERO gold reserves because of Justin Trudeau, and those facts are just to start, there are many more, but I shall leave that up to the concerned ones to research. But what sensible economic advisor would tell you to forego a 3.6 billion dollar a year client, including 900 million in exports for a 150 million a year supplier with 30 million in exports. We trade with the US. We buy and sell with China. There is a fundamental difference. Not to mention what our intelligence agencies have been telling us for years and the level of corruption involved.
I recently read the section of CUSMA, which we have now opening broken this agreement knowingly buying cars from Xinseng province, known globally for forced labour. That’s contravening our most important economic contract. Regardless of who is running the show in the US..
Article 23.6 of CUSMA explicitly requires all three member countries to prohibit the importation of goods produced wholly or in part by forced or compulsory labour.
