These politicians are so corrupt and our mainstream media keeps covering for them. It’s so frustrating as a taxpayer and Canadian who actually cares about affordable housing! Ugh!

Rennie is as corrupt and criminal as they come. Eby is bought and paid for and Gregor was bought even before he played Mayor. Carney….well…if it smells like a pig, looks like a pig and walks like a pig…..

Yup, The whole Lieberal party is absolutely emersed in corruption. It seems that is the only way they know how to operate and screw the country and it's people. It sickens me that the Liberal voter does not see or ignores what is right in front of there eyes. We need a Conservative government to clean out the rat infestation.

Methinks Poilievre would be very happily surprised, if he grew a pair and went all in. Promising to do full forensic audits on all government business (and related..like Trudeau Foundation and Gerry Butts etc) and also full audits on unreasonable/unexplainable MP wealth (all parties) since 2015. To fully prosecute ANY/ALL (including government employees, lobbyists, etc) found guilty of ANY betrayal of public trust, corruption, outright theft, receiving bribes, collusion and treason...and sentence any/all ANY/ALL found guilty to a minimum of 10 years in prison and seize ALL aassets. It would restore faith in government and he would pull at over 75%.

Thanks for doing this interview. We need more informed Canadians, not tribal politics

I saw that interview with Rennie last year. This is horrific.

I am glad Brian and you Sam are having this conversation, I am reading so many articles these days on the amount of drug busts, the buy out of bad businesses and it something that I never knew happened in Canada. No matter how much we all criticize or wonder what is going on the main stream media and politicians seem to downplay it all.

I want to weep. How on earth do we stop this rogue and out of control government. From mayors to premiers , MPs, to senators.

Nick Quarmby's avatar

You forgot lobbyists... who should be imprisoned for a decade or so, have all their assets seized and then (upon release) registered properly...along side child sex offenders.

Thank you Sam and Brian.

Keep these informative fact based comments coming.

Well written. Well stated. And hopefully, sooner than later, well understood.

Anything government bought, owned, and operated needs investigations and hopefully effective results. Or better yet, ( with this governing power at the helm) removed entirely.

Everyone listening or reading needs to restack wherever it’s allowed…before it’s not.

It’s not complicated. Government should stick to national security, defence and infrastructure. Period. We have a private sector to handle the economy. Revisit detrimental taxes. Create a lucrative stable market for investment. Period.

For those that seem to discount corporations and businesses…they few the economy. Case in point, stagnant Canadian economy with no growth potential. If you were to invest, wouldn’t you want to know that a profit is ahead.

We need a new start with true leadership with Canadians and Canada first. Common sense, economic acumen and backbone. Results.

That was a great revelation, it gives so much insight to the corruption within our provincial and federal governments, Mark Carney, Gregor Robertson and David Eby etcetera, and their connection to Bob Renny the real estate mogul that is financing these politicians, we need a total house cleaning of these taxpayers supported criminals!

Brian, you need a deep dive on what our fentanyl czar has been doing since he was appointed. You and Sam bringing up Brosseau's name today reminded me we even have someone to deal with the fentanyl crisis in Canada.

Thanks for this journalism, you two.

I'm glad someone can call out this kind of malarkey. I don't see how a bailout helps get to affordable housing. In case anyone doesn't know - no level of our government wants affordable housing. They could stop bailing out / interfering in the housing market any time they want. But the banks and our three levels of government don't want housing to be affordable.

And no kidding - I suspected for a long time that our politicians were getting rich thanks to these high prices, and quel surprise... they're all in on it. To paraphrase the immortal Milton Friedman - the robber-barons are in parliament and in the market.

I am concerned that they have just shut down the enquiry into this malarkey. There will not be hearings over the summer. By fall, it will all have been forgotten.

I know... I just hope that if enough people spread the word the voters will change their minds... who am I kidding. The old voters don't know any of this is going on.
