You should read the iron quill.

There is no doubt, not a single scintilla of reasonable reluctance to believe, that Carney is riding his horse to subjugate the citizenry and complete his Orwellian net zero strategy.

We have a housing crisis created largely by unfettered unvetted immigration. The mantra is build more homes.

In fact housing starts have plummeted this year

where I live, the very successful, very well run, Scugog lumber truss plant have started layoffs.

AI :”Lake Scugog Lumber was founded in 1931 by Samuel N. Griffen, starting as a smaller operation and growing into one of the largest independent lumber yards and roof truss manufacturers in the area. The company has maintained a focus on family values and customer service throughout its history, expanding its offerings over the decades, including a dedicated roof truss division established in 1955”.

AI reminds us:”Annual housing starts in Canada from 1950 to 1957 generally increased over the period, with a total of 138,276 starts recorded in the peak year of 1955”

So where are we today ?

“Today, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) released new estimates on Canada’s housing supply gaps showing that a return to housing affordability levels last seen in 2019 will require between 430k and 480k new housing units be built annually over the next decade. This is an approximate doubling of the current pace of home construction in Canada.  ”

It’s impossible to believe government data sadly. The manipulation of data to support what I believe to be a corrupt government is horrifying.

So stay with me Brian :

“ in 2019, Canadian housing prices saw a modest increase of 3.1% on a year-over-year basis, according to the MLS® Home Price Index Composite benchmark. The average selling price increased by 3.6% to approximately $838,540, driven primarily by growth in the condominium apartment and townhouse segments. However, trends varied by region, with some areas like Ottawa seeing prices rise significantly, while others, such as Calgary, experienced price declines”

It’s clear to me that an $838,540 AVERAGE selling price in 2019 for a place to live is NOT AFFORDABLE!

What is it now? Over a million dollars

Give me strength!

Clearly as mortgage defaults and vehicle repossessions sky rocket, and MSM suggests families buy cheaper expired food to make ends meet, the reality is that Carneys government is indeed trying to eliminate cash.

I’ll go further. The liberal government is rotten to the core. Here is a horrifying example ;

“Canadian media quoted Joly as saying at a news conference on the Ukraine war, on March 10 2023:” We're able to see how much we're isolating the Russian regime right now — because we need to do so economically, politically and diplomatically — and what are the impacts also on society and how much we're seeing potential regime change in Russia."

Think about that statement. A minister of the crown in Canada saying the goal is to get rid of President Putin as over 7000 human beings are killed monthly in the conflict.

Political scientist Neta Crawford estimated 323,000 dead in the war by July 2025, with an average rate of 7,690 killed per month—surpassing the average of 2,826 killed per month in the Gaza war and 772 killed in the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021). According to Crawford, while civilians accounted for 80 percent of the fatalities in the Gaza War and 26 percent in the War in Afghanistan, four percent of those killed in Ukraine were civilians.”

War is wrong.

The liberal government is corrupt to its core

The LPC are divisive and war mongers. Carney stated ‘Muslim values are Canadian values’ at an EID celebration June 2025. Sigh, he continues to speak for me as Prime Minister. I didn’t vote for him and don’t want him speaking on my behalf on the world stage!! #Pierre Poillievre CPC for Prime Minister!!! ✌🏼 🔵 🇨🇦 ❤️

Juno news “Earlier this year the Liberal government introduced Bill C-2, its controversial Strong Borders Bill. Among its many contentious provisions is one that would make it illegal for any person, business, bank or charity to accept a “cash payment, donation or deposit of $10,000 or more”. Night drops, where businesses deposit their daily cash haul in a secure mail slot after banking hours, would also be prohibited. By banning cash transactions of this sort, Ottawa seems intent on making life as difficult as possible for businesses that deal in old-fashioned paper money.”

I think their is a better way to go after Money Laundering cash transaction instead of going after honest Canadians using cash. This is Carney & Elites wanting their way to control TRUE Canadians. Say NO to C-2

I’m told that the money laundering in Canada is a serious issue. That there are hundreds of thousands of “ suspicious “ cash transactions annually reported by banks. Not sure if that number is audited.

Square that with the government insisting that only 1% fentanyl is crossing into the USA. I assume fentanyl is made here using precursors “Legally” imported from

China into Canada.

Thats a criminal enterprise. Citizens using cash? Normal

Bottom line ? Justification for removing cash from our society? Money laundering.

Reality ? Government control of citizens.

Two years ago my friend bought a used truck. 20k cash.

C2 will make that a crime.

As it is, BITD ( lol two years ago) it took two bank branches in a small Ontario town a week to find that much cash.

Why cash ? Better price.

Crime ? Tax avoidance ?

In Ontario a bill of sale is required to register a vehicle. If MTO think that the bill Of sale is “ Undervalued” they just refer to their books and charge sales tax on their valuation. No appeal.

Subjugation of the citizenry. Nett Zero Carney

Ms Stronach has been quite rightly relegated to the dustbin of history as they say. Paul Martin was an abject failure as PM, and his most important function was helping Stephen Harper, one of our best Prime Ministers, get elected. Let us all look forward to the day the Canadian Establishment MSM gets what is coming to them.

Thank you Brian for another well presented and fair piece of reporting. However, sir I feel you slipped BIG time by disregarding the following:

Just my thoughts, sir, but if 'cash' and 'money laundering' are a problem then why doesn't the government go after the banks, such as TD who's by own admission paid out BILLIONS in fines due to....wait for it....money laundering.

A Cash is King follow up article is appreciated, sir.

Because Remember Mark J Carney was Governor of the Bank of Canada and Governor of Bank of England, RIGHT, so there is no there THERE, right! except his rolodex and all his BFFL are still in these spaces, which certainly makes for easier manipulations and who is BFFL from TD Chair Frank McKenna agreed to 3.1 Billion settlement over allegations of facillating money laundering. I think everyone can learn so much from independent journalism ( I have my go to You Tubers eg. Moose on the Loose David, who has created a flow chart where you can connect the dots) and Brian Lilley of course. Thank you Brian!

Gretzky is a Canadian, eh? The part Lilley left out was that Gretzky’s party with POTUS was followed by POTUS’ regular threats to annex the country of his birth. Gretzky’s response? Crickets. Not even a nod to the awkwardness of his choice of friends or to how Canadians might be feeling about his headgear.

There’s of course more to it than that. But what is clear is that Lilley has given over his career as a credible journalist to being an odd apologist for third-string MAGA supporters. As for Gretzky, they can’t rename Edmonton’s Gretzky Drive quickly enough.

Point taken. If Carney has his elbows up it is certainly from his knees. Strategic or not, it’s off-putting.

But what’s poor, hard-done by Gretzky to do? What everybody asked him to do - to make even the briefest statement that he ‘meant no disrespect to Canada in associating with Trump’, that he loves his country and that while he loves the USA he hopes Canada will remain forever a free and independent country.

And, of course, to skip being parade marshall for the USA during the four-nations tournament. For me those were the moments when it solidified that he’s no longer one of us.
