King Carney will want to be able to fire any CEO of the new airport ownership for imaginary "sins" like speaking English in a majority English country, like was done with the former CEO of Air Canuckistan.
Everybody is so worried about Russia or China. Why don’t you worry about Ottawa instead? They’ve done more damage to Alberta’s economy than anybody else.
Most of the Boomers I know get their news from the CBC and see Carney as the anti-Trump. They think Trump is everything that is wrong with Canada.
It essentially makes no difference if Carney switches his position back and forth on key issues as long as he is the anti-Trump. Any bad outcomes will be blamed on Trump in any event.
You cannot reason with people of that mindset. I regret only that their grandchildren will suffer the consequences of their shallowness.
Maybe Carney is realizing that with $1.90 and his rhetoric, all you can get is a cup of coffee and now he's starting to backtrack from his nonsensical stance... Ah, ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah .... I kid, Carney is clueless.
Carney sucking and blowing at the same time. And meeting Obama (former president no powers to negotiate) = good, meeting Trump (the one that can make deals) = bad according to our laurentian elite.
great....Canadian airports owned by foreigners...ha...no problem there? What on earth is he thinking??? Foreign ownership would leave us susceptible as hostages if the owners thought better; or terrorism at a moments notice; or foreigners taking over jobs and security responsibilities. Good grief....this is madness!! If carnage wasn't donating our tax dollars all around the world, as well as what JT did, we wouldn't need to sell off Canada......let's keep our northern mines and resources Canadian too!!!!
Surprisingly, it is less expensive to fly abroad than domestically. That itself should be telling.
On another note, Porter has increased its destinations both domestically and abroad from John C Monroe International Airport in Hamilton. Probably the best experience I’ve ever had flying.
I mentioned this because I live near Lake Erie. Our nearest option is Buffalo to fly. However, I vowed that I would NEVER fly out of Toronto Pearson ever again.
What a wonderful option opened up. Not only are the staff and airport itself a terrific stressless experience, I don’t have to battle the horrific drive to Toronto. Now they want to expand this disaster?
Th Hamilton airport is very well situated. Accessible from all South western Ontario. The QEW, the 403, the Redhill Creek Parkway/Link and highway 6 provide an easy access drive to J C Monroe.
There is also an option to be “bused” to Pearson, if you don’t mind the chaos at the airport terminal itself.
So, there are options and should be more. Southern Ontario is a vast area that offers so many opportunities to expand other options than Pearson. Not everything is or should be about the GTA.
IMHO
This is not a promotion of an option to Toronto. It is a viable solution. Both for travel and for affordability.
Maybe the various government levels should take notice. And a little common sense. 😉
Im beginning to think carney is in over his banking head. I like Carney.. not his politics maybe.. i dont hate anyone btw.
He flip flops, on issues. Rather than stick to a negotiation plan, hes trying to keep up with Thrump or stay out of his way. Neither man kijes to be pinned down so to speak. Terrible..
All about their egos jmo.
Alberta wants to be like Quebec? Thd .oney tgey give to ittawa us based on the population. Cry me a river. Alberta is a little sekfish.... they have all or most of the oil. If they separate, theres no asking about pipelines or selling their oil. And they get to keep the money.
Alberta, selfish? I think you need to review . No one batted an eye when Quebec talks about separation. But Alberta (I'm in Ontario BTW) then it terrible. Why, because they, like Saskatchewan, are a HAVE province, BC barely is.
Quebec got over 10 B, other province in the 10s of millions. Where do you think it comes from. RIGHT, ALBERTA, so selfish. That province has been abused. The Feds refuse to allow them to use their resources fencing them in a much as possible.
Quebec does not use its hydro revenue so look at its take home 13+ billion for a province that keeps wanting to leave.
Its about the oil and $$$. Well of course it comes from Alberta.. they have gas, oil. Come one. Its based on population and the smoug if money each province makes. I need a review? I have family there and in quebec.
Carney speaks with a forked tongue,
It is always the same. Rupture when he is talking to Canadians and Europeans, and rapture when he is talking to American elites.
Trump is a dire threat behind his back, but a "transformational president" to his face.
King Carney will want to be able to fire any CEO of the new airport ownership for imaginary "sins" like speaking English in a majority English country, like was done with the former CEO of Air Canuckistan.
How is his French these days?
King Carney? His accent is abysmal.
🙏👌
“foreign interference”

Focus people. Focus
LC, didn't you know? When Otterwer opines on issues here in Alberta THAT is foreign interference.
Everyone’s economy.
