It is often a contrarian indicator. Some of the smartest people I know barely finished high school. A formal education(unless you are actually learning a trade) is overrated. I mean does having the ability to quote Havel and Thucydides(like Carney can) have any real world impact? It is pretentious bullshit.
The Liberals were not elected to reverse economic decline. They were elected to make their voters, most of whom are insulated against the decline, feel good. Nothing can change until those people start to feel the pain.

We have GS homies running the country. How could anyone think that was actually a good idea after the 89/09 crash. Hogdson, Guzman and Carney all cut their teeth there.
