Carney 25 million bucks to Senegal this week “Prime Minister Mark Carney's announcement: “$207 million in new international assistance at the UNGA, with some of this funding directed toward environmental initiatives in Asia, according to a September 23, 2025, press release”
for some sort of green energy; this is a totally obscene and absurd proposition. Like quick dick mc dick says “ you gotta be ducking kidding me”!
Seems like he's saying our existing agencies arent qualified to handle financial crimes? Well, if thats the case, can't we bolster existing agencies instead of creating new ones? The barking seals cheering lib ards like him on are the new "guilty class" in Canada.
He doesn’t get the benefit of being considered naive. He’s either capable of the job or he’s not. He’s agenda’d plain and simple - no wishful excuses if you truly care about Canada’s future.
Carnage ran for the job knowing full well the baggage his predecessor left him.
Especially given that he's been involved behind-the-scenes for the last five years and claims that he "knows many things, many things" and is supposedly THE guy for this moment. Not to mention he's been involved in the international sphere for years and is 60 yrs old. A bit long in the tooth to be naive. THIS is exactly the reason WHY should want a "career politician" at the helm. Someone who knows how this works and WOULDN'T be naive about what it takes, but rather well-seasoned at it.
Carney was elected for his impressive economic resumé. Now, hopefully, more and more Canadians are starting to understand that this job requires much much more than that.
The guy did hold top finance positions in 2 countries, so this checks out. His "references" from his former bosses, on the other hand, are far from stellar...
I’m super confused, sorry! Carney and Franky bubbles are talking the same way! And as far as Israel goes they are despising anything moral as well, I guess that’s why so many Christian churches have been burnt to the ground here in Canada and the government isn’t saying jack about it!
And Trump is noticing all of this! So if many countries are endorsing a Palestinian state, they first need an elected government correct, and that isn’t going to work bc hamas is not dead yet correct? Why are they talking arrest, is it bc the UN has so much power over Carney and whoever else is against Israel(aka Christians) that they are obligated to talk this way.
Messed up situation here, probably why Trump dumped the UN as well.
I'm inclined to think that he's not so much naive as uninterested in the real effects of his proclamations. If it maximizes his sense of having done the morally prestigious thing, the effects on the fate of the Palestine people, Israel, and Canada-US relations are tertiary at best.
I've never felt so much like a Prime Minister didn't exist in the realm of real responsibility.
If you seriously think that what we do is going to make Trump “help” is you are as stupid as I think you are. Quit reading stupid Brian Lilly posts. He’s a hack and writes for an American rag.
Overall I'm so happy that the live hostages were returned, I'm unbothered
I do have a sliver of agreement in that framing this as important to Canada-US relations isn't compelling
If Trump wants a fight we shouldn't be shy to give it to him, and not consider too carefully whether our foreign policy is aligned. Other presidents can re-earn that right if they'd like
I can honestly say I totally agree with our Prime Minister when it comes to Israel.
I totally agree with our Prime Minister when it comes to the international criminal court Canada has legal responsibilities to uphold orders and issues from those courts and if that court issued an arrest warrant we are expected to execute it. That's why we all signed on to this court in the first place.
Nonsense no international body of unelected officials should have jurisdiction over the law of the land in a sovereign country.Do you know it was South Africa that brought the motion for Netenyahu to be declared a criminal and arrested .The ANC that rules South Africa rose from a freedom movement against apartheid but they also had an armed domestic terror arm called Umkhonto we Sizwe that reigned terror on civilians black and white ,torture, murder ,” necklacing “ their tribal opponents, bombings public spaces like restaurants ,hospitals and infrastructure, kidnapping etc ,for years .Many of the ANC who sit in parliament themselves have criminal records, fraud and corruption charges .South Africa
has some of the highest violent crime ,homicide and rape statistics in the world. The farm murders of mostly white Afrikaans boers to which the ANC and MK chant “ kill the farmer ,kill the Boer “ with impunity are largely ignored by the government.I certainly will take no moral direction from the ANC government or South Africa.and I find it troubling the ICC did .
You can't arrest someone with diplomatic/protected status. For Canada to arrest Netanyahu under an ICC warrant while he's still serving as Israeli PM, Israel would have to waive his status under the Rome Statute. Carney should probably know that before he opens his gob.
I believe the arrest warrant takes presidents over everything. And if I was him my objective would be to be found not guilty otherwise I'm Guilty. So yeah sorry worthless I'm certain he would be Advised of this before he came here.
It's separate from diplomatic immunity, but serving heads of government are protected by immunity ratione personae. The immunity can be waived by their country while in office (unlikely) or after (possible).
The thing Canadians need to understand is that great powers don't have friends, they only have interests. President Trump obviously doesn't take Carney seriously. The only thing the President cares about is the energy coming from Quebec and the West (primarily Saskatchewan and Alberta). I'm sure the President is aware that Alberta and Quebec are also the two provinces with strong separatist movements. IMHO, PM Carney looks pathetic when he tries to cozy up to President Trump, as if that would make any difference in their relationship. Premier Ford isn't helping either with his Mayor Quimby stunts, as so accurately pointed out in another publication recently. As a nation, we need to rapidly adjust to the new reality of our status with America. That means more tariffs on goods coming in from the States, more interprovincial trade, a ban on foreign ownership of Canadian real estate (unless it is a business venture that will employ Canadians), no more corporate welfare like the Stellantis debacle and a realistic assessment of our financial status. Get the country back on a solid economic footing.
Your comments are disturbing. Trump is an absolute immoral emotionally disturbed individual but Brian continues to criticize Carney that he isn’t committed to a relationship with Trump the disaster fire. Brian writes for am American Maga Audience and here you are. Repulsive.
Well Paul it doesn’t matter whether we like Trump or not. 90% of our economy is tied to the US and currently we are broke. Canada is losing money to the US because of our bad Liberal policies etc. Carney needs to make a deal for Canadian workers! Give the TDS a break!
You have it exactly wrong K. Liberal policies? Are you talking about free trade? That was Mulroney. Are you talking about unfair trade subsidies in the form of EI and healthcare? That is a sticking point for Trump. Are you talking about the 10% discount we give the States on oil from AB, which they resell to foreign companies at market value? Trump wants to move American “worker jobs” to the US. He wants our resources. You can kiss his ass all day long - but that’s what he wants. Stop the TDS Maga narrative. It’s embarrassing. Look at what he is doing? You can ignore all of his inappropriate behaviour but I can’t. You support Epstein, corruption, pardoning criminals and handcuffing 4 year olds. Guess what, I pay more to support Canadian business and invest in Canadian manufacturing. I also pay big tax money. I think I have to question that, especially when I read your “thinking” about where things are at. The US is way more financially leveraged than Canada. Wayyy more. If supporting Canada means supporting people like you, I quit. If you had any balls you’d move there. You’d fit right in.
Smart at telling lies. Not much else, unless you consider profligate deficit spending as a virtue

You are 💯 % correct!
We used to have a sign where I worked. "Good, Fast, Cheap" pick 2. Liberals always promise all three and dont or can't even deliver on one!
Seems like he's saying our existing agencies arent qualified to handle financial crimes? Well, if thats the case, can't we bolster existing agencies instead of creating new ones? The barking seals cheering lib ards like him on are the new "guilty class" in Canada.

Stop trying to help cover for him and Ford.
Tits Up eh!

And that the resumé itself was a sham. But I'm not holding my breath.
The guy did hold top finance positions in 2 countries, so this checks out. His "references" from his former bosses, on the other hand, are far from stellar...
But how are thoes 2 countries doing financially? That is the trillion dollar question.
Oh, yes. I didn't mean that it was falsified, more that it's not an accurate indicator of his actual abilities.
LOLOLOLLOLOL
I keep flip-flopping between naive and ignorant. Anyway, 100%
There is NO EXCUSE FOR Carneys incompetence
FUCK HIM HES A GOOF ‼️

Not naive. He’s destroying Canada on purpose.

Well it certainly didn't apply to the leader of Libya when he was here at my invitation.
So explain to me why that doesn't apply to the leader of Libya but does apply to the leader of Israel.
Sorry, I'm not aware of a serving Libyan leader being arrested under an ICC warrant in Canada.
ice comment Brian but i was think incompetent

The pudding holds proof that Trump is caring for the American people, he also cares about stopping wars, where have you been lately?
Those who do read Lilley critically, we're still waiting for Brian to commit an authentic act of journalism.
