Don’t worry about criticism. As if you can’t criticize Mark Carney and his so called efforts. No results, no pipelines, no surprise! We are so propagandized we actually believed all the bs the liberals and media sold us. We get the results we deserve for being low information voters.

As for our support for a Palestinian state, shame on us!

Shame on us for supporting Isreal or Palestine! Both are terrorist states and neither have our interests at heart or even in mind.

One thing I have never understood is Canada's position on soft wood lumber. The American loggers accuse our loggers of being subsidised due to, what they consider, "unfair" stumpage fees. The solution, in my view, is do like Alberta - issue logging leases through auction. A free market system that works well for oil and gas. Even where there is only one mill, and thus one potential buyer, all that is needed is a minimum bid. Yet, that hasn't happened and instead our products are penalized with tariffs.

It seems like this softwood lumber issue has been going on for the past 50 years. But let us not lose heart - PM Carney has solved it this time by promising more money, $100s of millions . The PM and Liberals got another photo op in front of workers in orange and green vests, and Canada again gets FA.

In your other comment you say Carney is not interested in making a deal. I agree as his decision to offer more "subsidies" will make sure no soft wood lumber deal is made.

Carney is committing political suicide. Can’t happen soon enough.

Palestine almost tipped me over. Disgusting. Fords obsequious fawning lost my provincial vote.

But listening to a Jerry Agar phone in

from a Nunavut school principal the other day ? The good lady telling us that Carney cut funding for her starving kids lunches, while I was reading of Carneys largesse funding millions for east Asia gender studies ?

Finally Tipped me over.

I will actively support any means of getting rid of Carney and the rest of his deadbeat failed ministers.

Good, let him complete it, give him enough rope, September 15 cannot come fast enough, he has managed to stay out of Parliament so he can do all this without being held accountable, that's why the summer vacay was necessary for him to completely devastate Canada and Canadians! this "new" government it is not! PS, how do you manage to listen to 1010, I find myself yelling at google nest especially since Moore is first up and some days John Tory fills in. then Scott Reid pipes in, they're just like global, ctv, cbc, all get money from us the tax payers to spoon feed us BS

Same, Jerry is the only one, if I can manage to listen during his time slot, Deb I wonder about, because her husband Timmy "bit" did a abysmal job as PC leader, now chief executive officer for OREA. Why is these PC's so Liberal RED? infuriating to say the least. Pick a lane please, PC are soon to be liberal back benchers?

As I have mentioned previously, send an email to your member of Parliament, start a request for a national plebiscite on several issues concerning this government's"s performance , stance , etc. nationally and internationally. We voted these people to to do our wishes not to give them a platform for their own personal philosophies or to pander the idealogy of their favourite fringe group or issue.

You are bang on Brian. Ignore the criticism. Yes, Canada is a wonderful country but we are the little (very little) brother to the US. Our weak and myopic leaders naively think we can bluff Trump. Whatever one’s opinion is of DT (and most Canadians are very uninformed re his incredible accomplishments in such a short time), he is no fool. Wake up Carney and negotiate in reasoned and good faith. Trump will respect that. It’s called “The Art of the Deal.”

We have to give something up like some part of supply management to show we are serious about getting a deal. 90% of our trade is with the US. We need them to survive.

We haven’t done that. None of our politicians have done that, including the Federal Conservatives.
