Less than 48 hours before the deadline to finalize an agreement with our largest by far main trading partner and the world’s largest economy - Mark Carney a very educated intelligent man with global experience announces publicly that he will support Palestine(ruled by Hamas) at the UN in September. 🤔Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Canada.

What was the purpose of such an announcement? Will it advance peace in the Middle East? Will it get Hamas and the other Iran sponsored proxies to allow Israel to live in peace? How will such a diplomatic display of utter incompetence help our relations with other countries or more importantly act in the best interest of Canadians. Who authorized Mark Carney to do this? We had a federal election over 3 months where all MPs were elected to represent Canadians and give us a voice. Such a declaration must be debated and voted on in parliament. How dare he and the Liberal regime pull such a stunt. Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative MPs need to be working with each opposition MP to get their support for an immediate vote of non-confidence to remove this pathetic group of globalist fuck ups and disgusting excuse of a government. Canadians deserve so much better. Liberals must go! Now!

Call, email, and write your local MP. Canada will not survive another term with these people in government.

Don’t forget the failed NDP motion from 2024. There is no doubt the historically antisemitic and perpetually broke NDP will vote with Carney in the House, but at least the matter could be debated. Always the Liberals are looking after the interests of the Liberal Party and retaining power. Canada’s best interests are not a concern to Carney except insofar as they serve him and the Libs.

As Marco Rubio said, they cannot change anything about the current situation by making claims to recognize Palestine as a state, so it’s all blather. But it buys support from all the Islamist/Marxists who love them.

Wow!

Mr. Lilley, I've been following you for several years now and this is - at least for me - the best, most passionate set of opinions I've read from you. You sound really pissed.

You've touched on so many major things that are wrong in Canada and you are perfectly accurate in your analyses.

On Schabas' stupid bike lanes. The fact that he is an idiot and moron. His Jordan Peterson (one of my few remaining heroes) decision.

Carney's unilateral decision on Palestine, thereby further alienating the US and ghosting another ally, Israel.

Our false and unwarranted hatred of the US. Most Americans, like most Canadians, are good people. I know this because I worked in the US (Atlanta) for 20 years. Not crazy about their current politics, but WE allowed He-Whose-Name-I-Can-No-Longer-Even-Speak, a 14-year-old child, to rule us for a decade. After that, how do we have the nerve to point a finger at the US.

Canada's protectionist trade policies which we appear to require the rest of the world to adhere to, without complaint. Quebec Corporations such as Saputo are the major benefactors of those policies.

Anyhow, again, WOW! Hope for more of the same. Canada needs more of this from people with your voice and platform.

Can we at least stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

Our company has 25% Canadian imposed tariff rate for products into Canada from the US.

We can't absorb that cost. We must pass it on to Joe Average Consumer.

Tariffs imposed upon ourselves. Can we be more stupid?

Brian . Love your facts. My Opinions and it is still lawful to have them. PM allowing Trump to move forward with unnegotiated tartif talks...if prices go up, PM can blame the President and deflect criticism. The PM can continue his tax increases and inflationary spending while PresidentTrump is blamed. We need the US and tgey need us. Work together. smart Canadians are watching the bottom line. You're 100% on H@m@$$. Countries arent thinking through what a two state solution really means.. for the nonH@m@$$ on the ground. I feel sorry for the situation. But they need to give back hostages and negotiate a real peace deal with Isr@!. This perpetuates discord and potential for violence over the world. Jewish people need our support.Your comments re Sean Feucht. Again 100%. Give the guy a break. Christians have every right to worship and go to church. Moslems have every right to attend Mosque, Hindu have every right to go to temple. Jewish people have every right to go to Synagogue. Unity in Canada.🇨🇦

You are absolutely correct re the declaration in support of Hamas (and I mean Hamas not the Palestinians). There is no reason to do it now (or ever), but creating a fake emergency (with Trump dumping on Canada) is what Liberals did last election to win. Why would they change their strategy when all those enlightened Liberals have their elbows up. The longer the fight with Trump the longer the “need” for “saving” aka job security. And if you don’t think Carney is lining his pockets while this is happening, you’re crazy (or a doofus Liberal who apparently will accept any excuse). I am happy Alberta is investigating sovereignty. The Liberals under Trudeau have badly damaged Canada and now Carney is here to inflict the fatal blow.

His decisions do not represent the majority of Canadians. Proof that his intentions are not in Canadians best interest.

Canadians will suffer because of his selfish elitist decisions.

He will tax us into poverty, open our country to an unsustainable immigration problem, force climate change initiatives, and now ruin a relationship with our neighbours by not negotiating like an adult.

Unbelievable

I believe you when you write: "Canada is a major impediment to reaching a new trade deal, in part because some in Ottawa don’t want to get a new deal. It helps them if there is no new deal, because a fight with the Americans will always be politically advantageous." I predict that there is more to this strategy than what currently meets the eye.

I beg your indulgence while I pontificate on Canada's future government.

The liberals have already started to infiltrate the conservative party to facilitate the manipulation of the conservative leadership review. I infer this from the fact that polls done where only truly conservatives reside, the support for Poilievre is somewhere around 90% (check out the poll reported on the Candice Malcom show) but when you expand the poll to the people identifying as conservative the percentage supporting Mr. Poilievre is significantly less. These infiltrators will then be a driving force in the future leader of the conservative party. Why would they do this?

Doug Ford (yes that guy who would not support Pierre in the federal election) will leave provincial politics and run for the leader of the national conservative party. The selling point, which will be enthusiastically supported and incessantly repeated by mainstream media, will be; the two men get along well and they like each other, so just imagine how much they can get done to raise Canada up from the ashes of the crisis that we are in. A crisis that just seems to get worse with every passing day, and a crisis that is not of our making.

This will effectively make Canada a party state with a globalist leader who has an agenda set by the UN and not by the will of Canadians. The dystopia that this will create for our once proud country is frightening.

If enough people read this and believe it and cry foul, perhaps we can stop it before it comes to fruition.

As I recall, Parliament last year voted on a similar NDP motion to recognize a Palestinian state and it was voted down. The majority of our elected representatives did not support this initiative! Carney is out of line making this pronouncement. Unfortunately, a non-confidence vote to bring the Liberal government down would not likely pass, thanks again to the socialist NDP.

im not sure how i feel about him yet until tomorrow, when we see the tarriffs.

Maybe he really means elbows up. Or is it a ticket to ride?

Good piece as usual. I think Carney is smart enough to point Canadian ire elsewhere than at himself and he can certainly count on the unfortunate knee jerk anti Americanism in which many Canadians gleefully and foolishly participate as we cut off our noses to spite our faces. It is so tiresome.

With respect to the CBC’s refusal to accept an employee’s resignation, I wonder if there may be something that precludes an employee from spilling more beans on the goings on at the corporation and maybe this is why they are being so weird about it. Sounds like Crazytown to me but why else would they be doing such a completely absurd thing?
