Looking at the post election results from the last election when examined by age/sex/riding and comparing that to historical voting patterns the biggest change that made a difference in riding results was the move of Boomer age voters from CPC to Liberal. That shift alone made more impact on results according to the data than the collapse of the NDP. Had they voted as they had in the previous 10 to 15 years it would have been a CPC government and as such a much more responsible government with our money. Liberals are spending everything they can OUT of Canada. The CPC always spends far less and spends it INSIDE of Canada which helps future generations. The Boomers, mistakenly, are clinging to their inflated real estate values and RSPs as a defence against rising costs of living. When you aren't paying any rent there is no increase so they are defended against the Carney-Trudeau government's fiscal stupidity in a few ways. In the past that generation looked out for those coming along. Not this time, it was al me me me.
Carney has far to many personalities. He is the economist who doesn't understand how to run an economy. He is a leader who can't lead because he can't keep his ego in check to convince people that he is a leader. He believes himself to be a visionary but his ideologies are all scams and lies. What was Mark Carney's first action upon being sworn in as PM on March 14, 2025 -- axing that carbon tax at the pumps.
Now Pierre Poilievre is saying Canada should use our natural resources as leverage in trade negotiations, so it is that Prime Minister Carney is adopting a contradictory stance that they are not our leverage. Yet, we all know that Canada's natural resources represents around 50% of our total exports, and of that 75% is exported to the United States. A fact, which cannot be denied, yet Mark Carney is attempting to suggest otherwise--for now anyway. No doubt, all more Liberal double-speak.
Is Carney purposely not offering up Critical Minerals, Pipelines etc in purpose just to further destroy Canada from within ?
