In Canada, the news isn't what's happening. The news is whatever Carney and the liberals say the news is. And people just gobble it up, no questions asked.

What kind of country does everything in its power to undermine its own economy just to spite the leader of another? What kind of country believes every single lie they're being fed by their government and media over what they see and hear with their own eyes and ears?

What kind of country runs for the pitchforks every time they hear a criticism of their "Great Leader"? What kind of country has so little self-confidence that they prefer to throw insults over rational discussions?

Canadians demonstrate every single day how immature we are, how unprepared for the real world we are, how emotionally unstable we are. The political class knows this very well and takes advantage of our low information, gullible population.

The liberals created the mess we're in but they couldn't have done it without the help of millions of fearful, uninformed, emotional voters... Well done Elbows Up brigade. What's your next move?

"What kind of country ...?" North Korea and Canada.

What kind of country? One that hates the leader of another country more than they love their own. One where a dominant portion of the electorate is directly paid by gov't (public sector), indirectly paid by gov't (how many "private" companies rely on gov't contracts?), otherwise dependent on gov't or retirees. Aka, people who have no *real* skin in Canada or its long-term future.

"start fixing the underlying, and weak, fundamentals of the Canadian economy"

Agreed and that should start with tax reform. The biggest scam is paying taxes on the money we make, paying taxes on money we spend and taxes on things we own that we already paid taxes on with already taxed money.

Therefore, elect Pierre

I gotta say tho… the area the liberals shine is in “ deception “.. no one can even attempt to beat them on this front!

YMS I am so glad that you are of sound mind…thank you Brian for discussing these important issues.

Thanks for calling a spade a spade and finally cutting Pierre some slack. He is definitely not as politically astute as Carney and his Liberal team, but Pierre problem solves with solutions not bandaids and handouts.

And by "politically astute" one really means "devious".

Great work Brian. I would argue that it is not just the policies that cripple us but the people who cook up those policies. It's been roughly the same crew since the 1960's (with Mulroney and Harper standing as exceptions). We keep voting them in.

I wonder what would happen if the CBC replaced the word "government" with the word "taxpayer" when they make announcements about massive spending on stupid policies.

It might say for example that "Taxpayers are going to buy 2200 vacant condos in BC and convert them into affordable housing". It might awaken a few people to the fact that they are paying for this stuff and for the government that makes them do so.

I believe when the looney collapses Carney will go. Either through the electoral process or by personal defeat , as he can’t stand the music.

Seen on the internet :”The Carney Liberals made an announcement to build 313 passenger rail cars this morning for $15,000,000 per car for a total of 4.7 BILLION dollars.

According to research it costs $5,000,000 to build a passenger rail car.

Which liberal insiders are getting rich?”

Francine's avatar

They all need to have a finger in the pie therefore everything is more costly..

Lawrence's avatar

Where will they build, Quebec or China? Unless ford gets a piece for being a liberal

$4.8 Billion for new passenger rail cars. For Government owned rail, paid for by taxpayers. Socialists at their best. Why aren’t they leasing them from a private enterprise provider? Which cousin is getting the contract? Nothing is transparent.

A good story with good insight. The Canadian electorate are not seeing that Carney is not up for the job. They did the same thing with Trudeau for almost 10 years. Carney and Ford know how to decieve and do it with impunity. I'm still waiting to hear Carney's full details of the deal and the truth of why he walked away.

As long as the Liberals and their media control the sheep there will no better future for Canada.

Thanks Brian!!

Also, Brett Bair of Fox News interviewed Greer, the USA negotiator and said Carney hand shook a deal with Trump 2 days before then Carney pulled out.

Greer said the USA did not change anything and Carney switched…. Otherwise it’s a political move by Carney he is lying since then about why of course and main media will run cover so he knows he can get away with it.

Forget the so called sources, Greer is a credible source.

Juno, Sun, Western standard and Rebel should all run the interview.
