To say "we (Canadians) decide what happens here" is again more Carney blarney. To date when it comes to President Trump, Prime Minister Carney words fall hollow.

The blarney started with candidate Carney saying he would not open communication with President Trump until such time he recognized Canada's sovereignty and ceased with with his 51st State rhetoric. The 51st State rhetoric continues, and so does the communication. A hollow statement.

Candidate Carney said his approach to dealing with Donald Trump would be one of "elbows up". Since that time besides disregarding his position regarding the 51st state rhetoric, Carney has also capitulated on not imposing retaliatory tariffs when Trump increased to 50% the tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum. Friday, June 27, the Carney government said it would not rescind the DST legislation. Sunday, June 29, Carney announced the legislation would be rescinded. The White House announced Canada "caved"!

While in the Oval Office, PM Carney complimented President Trump on his leadership, and did so again at the recent G7 meeting. This placing Trump on a pedestal was so contagious, that at the NATO meeting, Chair Rutte referred to Trump as "Daddy".

This leaves Canadians wondering what will actually be left for them to decide.

Well, we have a new flag-waving patriotism thanks to Trump and promoted by Liberal media, the only kind in Canada.

Well due to the self-serving British Empire bureaucracy mandarins to mix the China Communist dominance of the Liberals as the ability to hide such sell-out of Canada’s Citizens as weakness is not sooo! This quote is from an article dated Dec 9th, 2024. "There are 110,738 more federal public servants employed today than a decade ago."

https://policyoptions.irpp.org/magazines/december-2024/federal-bureaucracy/

These people are not wealth producers.

Unfortunately, they are more likely overseers of pushing the federal agenda.

That includes over spending, and the stifling overreach of "green" policies at the expense of a more robust economy.

The following makes no sense;

"Canada intends to phase out the sale of new fossil fuel (gasoline and diesel) vehicles by 2035."

https://www.canada.ca/en/transport-canada/news/2021/06/building-a-green-economy-government-of-canada-to-require-100-of-car-and-passenger-truck-sales-be-zero-emission-by-2035-in-canada.html

Has anyone in our bloated federal service actually done a rigorous, balanced, review of Canada's impact on the climate?

Before the groupthink gang jumps at me, answer the following.

When will the next ice age occur? Will it be minor or long lasting?

What policies do you want to consider?

Nobody in Canada can provide an answer that doesn’t come from leftwing media. It’s what most braindead Canadians consume.

My inner conspirologist reminds me that Carney actually owes his PM-ship to Donald Trump. If not Trump and his carefully measured and carefully timed threats to Canada, we'd have a different PM now.

And now, what a coincidence, Carney loses this business dispute with the United States misrrably. Trump is getting what he wants.

One thing we know for sure is that Donald Trump has forced a new Canadian patriotism that no Liberal leader could ever do. Now, the patrons at the theatre in Stratford, for instance, sing O Canada before every performance. Well done, Mr Trump!

Yes but it’s based on anti-American sentiment which is quite ugly and shameful to my mind.

As opposed to real patriotism like the Freedom Convoy of 2022. That truly celebrated Canada.

You are absolutely correct - I’m thinking it’s like ‘why I live Canada is because Trump wants us to be their 51st state’. The mind boggles.

In Kelowna BC the Chamber of Commerce says they have had so many queries from Americans asking if they are safe and welcome to the point they have printed Americans Welcome US friendly for businesses to display. This is shameful for Canadians and our government who has actively promoted this USA hatred .I discovered during Covid andTFC EMS that many 🍁 Canadians aren't as nice, kind and polite as they pretend. I've not seen a single USA plate in town and we deserve it especially after Eby has basically bashed all.things US to his subjects.

I know several things. We have one party in Canada. They are all corrupt. That includes the Federal Conservatives. The Global Military Operation Is Taking This Corruption Down. Thank You President Trump!

The Global Military Operation? Is this widely known? Is it part of the UN or WEF New World Order (globalism) plan? If so, it will not be connected to President Trump. I shall research, but there’s a lot of corruption to go around, no question.

When you say people tell you they dont care about politics I think we all need to find a way to 'help' people understand that ultimately politics is about how much we pay for our taxes and what we, the people want elected officials to spend it on. IT IS CRITICAL THAT WE ALL PLAY OUR PART because Carney is what happens when we dont.

When someone says they dont want to talk or get involved politically I think it is important to make sure they understand that it is about what they are paying (Federally we owe 2 Trillion dollars, Ontario (Provincially we owe over $400 billion dollars), municipally when you cant pay for municipal Taxes they will come for your property.

Carney should consider himself lucky if the U.S. stops with the DST. But Canadians, especially conservative minded and regular ones, can do better if the U.S. uses this opportunity across many fronts. Please see my post with how the U.S. could galvanize real change here.

I don’t think we have ambassadors to do trade talks. Has Carney any idea what should be happening? He may be getting advice from recent immigrants from the Middle East and Sri Lanka on how to run Canada. Does anyone even know?
