I think the data centre is a win but how is it a win when the taxpayers of Alberta and Canada will be on the hook for either pipeline and the Carbon Capture?

And this: https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/letting-b-c-charge-tolls-on-new-alberta-pipeline-is-trade-barriers-on-steroids-say-critics

BC will be allowed to charge royalties for allowing the pipe to go through BC. This sets a very bad precedent as Keith Wilson and Jack Mintz have both said. Jack Mintz also calls it extortion.

Hey has anyone heard about the crazy ski resort and motels being built in Ukraine , close to the Russian boarder? Just wondering if Carney is investing our tax dollars there🤔 !!

Until the "Carbon capture" (Pathways) bs is done away with, I don't see how this pipeline is any good news.

The pipeline is a win. The data centre is not!!!

Brett Wilson is a legend. We need more private investment, yet most businesses can’t afford it due to high taxes. The solution here is to remove unnecessary regulations and propose a massive tax cut.

Happy for Alberta and perhaps Canada too. Still waiting for details as to how the costs of the unnecessary Carbon Capture will be paid. I see the Pathways Alliance corporate partners (or most of them?) have signed on to the deal. Were incentives (to be paid by taxpayers, eventually) required to get them on board and, if so, how much? Or was it a case of the oil companies paying the full freight, without outsized tax benefits (a subsidy in disguise) and deciding that a flawed deal is better than nothing?

Don't be fooled - Alberta taxpayers will be footing the bill for the carbon capture - it isn't financially viable for the oil companies otherwise, and Albertan and Canadian taxpayers will be on the hook for both pipelines (west and east) if they ever get off the ground.
