Sort of - my buddy works for the feds (5-eyes). He and 2 colleagues went to Australia for a knowledge-base exchange for 3wks. First class there and return - cha-ching. Notwithstanding - the vastness of Canada dictates sensor and drone technology/surveillance is a better bang for the buck - some would/could say a new Canadian industry (Feds wouldn't say that tho). So you could spend more bucks AND not necessarily throw them at the trad (US) military industrial complex but not under this Canadian military 'leadership'.
Personally I do not believe we have achieved the 2% and the 5% is just a phantom wish. For this socalled 2% I believe all they have done is take money from one pocket and put it into another one and renamed it. Great optics, this government really good at this sort of thing.
