An all-nighter, a first day back and some school insanity...
As MPs in Ottawa begin settling into a routine, at Ontario's legislature, they settled in for the long haul.

It was like the first day of school in Ottawa but at Queen’s Park they were pulling an all-nighter. There couldn't have been a bigger contrast in the vibe between Parliament Hill and the seat of Ontario’s legislature.
First to Ottawa and Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first appearance in Question Period. How you view his performance will really depend on how you feel about him, his party and his election win.
If you back the Liberals, you might like that he dodged and weaved and didn’t answer any of those pesky questions from the Conservatives. If you back the Conservatives, you will be annoyed that he dodged and weaved and didn’t answer some very legitimate questions from the Conservatives.
One thing is clear, someone sat Carney down and taught him the old adage that all parties live by when in power, it’s called Question Period, not answer period.
The PM responded to questions, but no one can accuse him of answering questions, which is why I took him to task on the issue of pipelines in my latest Toronto Sun column. Despite many questions, we don’t have a clear idea of the PM’s plans, his position on the issue, just many statements from him and ministers that are often contradictory.
He needs to do better by the time he meets with premiers next week in Saskatoon.
Meanwhile, my colleague Bryan Passifiume noted Carney’s lack of answers on some very real and legitimate questions around tariffs and revenues. The Conservatives were asking about the $20 billion in revenue that Carney put in his “costed platform” that would come from counter tariffs, but of course he reduced, eliminated or suspended almost all tariffs on April 16.
Burning the midnight soy candles?
I wouldn’t want to accuse Ontario’s NDP of burning the midnight oil, they don’t like oil, they want nothing to do with oil, so soy candles seems appropriate.
The NDP and Liberals joined forces to pull an all-night filibuster on Doug Ford’s Bill 5. Just before midnight, MPPs were sitting in a committee room talking about sleep deprivation, an issue this bill has nothing to do with and around 7am, they were debating how to translate the amendments into French.
Far be it from me to say anything nice about Bill 5 or to defend it, that is the surest way to see the Ford government pull the bill and run in the opposite direction. Truth be told, with the opposition they are facing, that is something that could happen anyway.
Doug Ford doesn’t like controversy, and he doesn’t like to spend political capital; he likes to accumulate it.
The point of Bill 5 is, according to the government, to streamline the approval of mining and infrastructure projects in Ontario.
“Supporting the acceleration of provincial permitting and approvals for projects so Ontario can build mines and infrastructure faster, while ensuring environmental protections for future generations,” the Bill summary states.
“Keeping our energy supply safe by limiting foreign participation in Ontario’s energy sector.”
The devil is always in the details, but the overall substance of the bill is solid, which now that I’ve said it means the government will walk away from it. The NDP is opposed because they have become the party of no; they don’t want anything built.
Given the shape of Ontario’s economy, which is not good, we need to have legislation move that will unleash the province’s economy, Instead, we remain a place where things can’t be built, where the opposition spends hours talking about sleep rather than debating legislation.

Education or indoctrination...
I’ve been writing and talking about abuses in our education system for years, sadly rather than things getting better they are getting worse. I’ve covered educrats who believe they are “co-parents” of students, a ludicrous idea, I’ve covered the 2+2=4 is racist claim which sounds like a comedy bit but was sadly real.
Now, I bring you a story of an Ottawa area teacher who is facing disciplinary action for saying on social media that she doesn’t believe supporters of Hamas should be in Canada.
Let's be blunt, neither do I, Hamas is a terrorist organization accused of horrific crimes.
And here comes the problem. This from the same body, the Ontario College of Teachers, who decided that another Ottawa teacher at the same board saying that Palestinians can resist “by any means necessary” which would include barbaric terrorist attacks is just fine.
Read it and weep, but please share it.
What to read today....
Well, I mean, read as much of me as possible, but beyond that, here’s some columns that I’ve grabbed. By no means a complete list.
Lorrie Goldstein has forgotten more than I will ever know about green energy and government programs around it. With Mark Carney promising to make Canada a “clean and conventional energy superpower,” Lorrie looks at the pitfalls of the “clean energy” side.
On Tuesday night an organization called The Abraham Global Peace Initiative tried to host an event at Casa Loma in Toronto. You can guess who showed up to protest peace, and Joe Warmington has the details. Not sure about you, but I’m fed up with these guys.
John Ivison at National Post has read the Main Estimates in Ottawa so that you don’t have to and thankfully now, neither do I. The Main Estimates are the official government spending plans and John has some horrifying takes on what he has found.
If you haven’t had enough of the throne speech, the Calgary Sun’s Rick Bell puts it beautifully when he says that Carney’s throne speech gives Alberta “diddly squat.” I’m sure he wanted to use different words, but standards and such.

Hi all, just for your information:
There is a Chin@se guide on how to set up a dictatorship rule that is used by all CH*NA's globalist puppets. They use techniques to transform any form of government i.e. democratic or socialist seamlessly into a one-man, one-party absolute power dictatorship. One such technique is “If you keep telling people lies, the next time you tell a lie people think that it’s the truth”. That is why CBC (or CNN in the US) and others, is used by the liberals to feed people lies and those who happen to listen to them will be brainwashed into thinking it’s the truth. Another technique they have is the analogy “people with small minds talk about people, medium mind talks about events, big minds talk about ideas”. They believed that more than half of the population in every country are small minded people that likes to talk about people. This is why actors and actresses like Whoopi Goldberg, and others are used by the democrats to spread lies to make people into believing that it’s the truth. Here in Canada, liberals use character assassination or President Trump and the tariff etc. to make people into believing their lies. It is unfortunate but these techniques are very effective. They have studied it and refined it to perfection. Another technique is by implementing a "gun ban". I wouldn’t be surprised if one day the government will confiscate all guns (civilian) or people face jail time. It’s because in a dictatorship, people are not allowed to have guns at all to render them as helpless as possible and so they can't fight back when openly oppressed. Another technique is “to k*ll a few million people to control (by fear) the rest of the millions of the remaining people. In the global scale, these dictators wants to K*ll billions of people. This is why the China's globalist-dictators needed gangs and criminals such as muslim extremists so they can kill millions and instill fear to the remaining people thus making them (people) docile and easier to control without fear of people
uprising against them. Here in Canada, the liberals are converting the RCMP into their own “Gestapo” units to make unlawful spying and arrests. In a dictatorship, the ruling elites and cronies are the “Masters” and the rest of the citizen are the “Slaves”. One day, Canadians will be ask to kneel and lick the their feet to reinforce their feeling of omnipotence (literally). These are just among the many techniques they use to keep them in power forever and bringing people to its knees. But one thing is very certain, these Globalist-dictators are very “hostile” parties that aims to destroy its constituents, they are not there to help people but to use people to make them become god-like, absolute rulers with life or death powers. Another technique is that they will cause civil unrests so that they can enact special powers (like martial rule and curfews), to solidify their powers. Then the dictators will only allow people to say favorable things about them. Anyone that says things that is not good for them will be dealt or silenced or k*lled. Another technique is the setting up of the “Deep State” which is the control of the executive branch, legislative branch, judicial branch of the government, the military, the election department, the central bank and treasury and school indoctrination.
Alberta need to separate now before Canada is transformed into dictatorial country.
