If Canadians can be convinced to vote for a Party led by Justin Trudeau three times, they are certainly foolish enough to believe that the Americans are planning an attack.

In fact, it fits perfectly into their intellectual “Imaginarium”. (VDH)

I have to hand it to the Prime Minister: he certainly understands how to leverage the ignorance of Canadians.

No apathy Patrick's avatar

Globalists, socialists, communists and grifters all follow the same model and find a home in the Liberals here and Democrats there.

Angela's avatar

Boy, it THAT ever true!!

Paul Loewen's avatar

There’s a fine line between imagination and fantasy and it’s been crossed by too many Canadian normies

Lord Chancellor's avatar

If Canadians believed there was a national emergency, then it proves they'll believe almost anything. Canadians are some of the dumbest sheep on the planet.

Be careful when you follow the masses because sometimes the M is silent

Dave's avatar

Liberals….think like sheep afraid of their own shadows.

John Powell's avatar

This octogenarian refuses to disclose his weapons. Omg I’ve waited so long to say “I’m older than you “….

Carney the deceiver.

Karen Benz's avatar

A group of people who voted for Trudeau over the decade are certainly idiotic enough to think that the USA will invade us. Mark Carney really knows how to stir up shit to remain high in the polls.

Martin Dixon's avatar

Some of the “elbows up” crowd were promising to take up arms. I’m not sure I’d trust them with the car keys, let alone live ammunition.

K Brooker's avatar

Aren’t these the same people who want to take away our guns?

Martin Dixon's avatar

Yes. That is the ironic part. What are they going to use-BB guns?

Maxim Engel's avatar

Do not be silly. They are not going to use BB-guns. They will go to the nearest indigenous reserves and buy up all the bows & arrows, they sell to tourists.

Angela's avatar

LOL!! Good one!

Eric's avatar

Yes, totally ridiculous to think of a U.S. invasion but to share the fantasy with the rest of the world is reminiscent of a mad man seeking attention at any cost. The EU is tied at the hip with the WEF/UN/NWO and Carney is in that club. All of which are grifters and Trump has made it clear how he feels about freeloaders. Trade war, elbows up and invasion are all figments of the Carney demented imagination and the feeble minded have fallen prey to idle worship (yes idle).

By the way, always enjoy your morning wakeup and afternoon updates. The Port reminded me of the my teen years when me and my buddies would head deep into the park with a bottle before the dance at the local Legion where we created line dancing to avoid bouncing of each other due to over crowding.

Thanks Brian "on our side"

Angela's avatar

Maybe Carney believes he's a dictator in waiting? I think he's headed that way.

Eric's avatar

With his Majority Gov. he`s no longer waiting.

Christine Barnett's avatar

In my view, he’s already there. He loves the global attention and support. But is it only his elite group. It seems that Europe and the UK are sending warnings to complacent Canadians. The US (if the Democrats regain power, are in complete alignment with the new world order. And have already “appointed” Carney as their voice globally. Seems he is enjoying that praise, doesn’t it?

But what about us…the rest of humanity.

susan gerbes's avatar

he's already there.....

Dan Drinkall's avatar

How prophetic of you ! He is actually there, in practice now, and has yet to eliminate the need for further Elections to lay claim to that Title !

Angela's avatar

Carney is becoming seriously embarrassing & Canadians should be ashamed that they voted this moron into office. He doesn't know how to lead. He's in it for himself & his minions in the WEF & the UN, both as corrupt as anything on this planet. This has been planned for decades & he's been behind it almost from the get go. DO YOUR RESEARCH. CARNEY IS DANGEROUS FOR CANADA!!

Christine Barnett's avatar

But not for the planned new world order. Unity and equality for all. Basic UN policy and DEI mandates. Carney was placed strategically to “unify “ all nations. Little man with big ideas. He should really explain how the hell he can accomplish this unrealistic plan.

Unless…we really will have no choice. Enter China.

Michael Law Cobb's avatar

As I said last night by RT, thank you Brian.

Bloody hell, look at the mess we’re in.

Christine Barnett's avatar

Maybe we should call in the UK to defend “their” property once again. 😆

K Brooker's avatar

Carney hates Canadians. He wants us to be European as he hates our North American neighbours. He wants to be King of this new European nation and we are his subjects. I will immediately surrender to the US if they invade, but I won’t hold my breath for that.

Angela's avatar

Well, Carney hasn't a vested interest in Canada. Where does his family live & work & go to school? Where are his investments? How often is he even HERE IN CANADA rather than flying all over the world like he's somebody. He's incredibly disingenuous & dangerous. I just hope people will wake up in time but I fear they won't which is why I support Option 2 in the Alberta referendum. Even if we lose, I doubt if I'll live long enough to see the total destruction of our country & I worry about our kids' futures.

Everyone should subscribe to the Globe and Mail just to read the commentary.

It is beyond incredible.

Could I just beat myself with a stick rather than read that garbage? It would be less painful.

I will never give them my money.

I'm here for comic relief!!

Keith Fleming's avatar

This allegation by our PM is an affront to people's intelligence. Unfortunately the elbows up crowd are sheeple and buy into this fear mongering

Christine Barnett's avatar

Uninformed and compliant. So much easier to fool the masses.

Scott Newell's avatar

Boy Scouts of America could invade Canada!!

Angela's avatar

My husband is a vet & you're absolutely right. The Military has ALWAYS suffered under Liberal Administrations!!

Darcy Hickson's avatar

IF the "tail risk assessment" of a US military invasion was politically inspired and not drafted by the CAF on its own accord, and then was leaked to media friendly agencies, then that tells us alot about what is motivating this government.

I stress the use of the word IF, because to my knowledge nobody has clarified whose idea it was and where the source of the leak is employed. However, Canadians need to balance the objectivity of government projects like this and look beyond their fear, loathing and anti-American sentiments to wonder WHY? Is there any chance that we are being manipulated here?

Angela's avatar

Oh, we're being manipulated, of that there is no doubt. Just THINK of what has transpired since Carney has been in office. We were warned by the Brits we'd be stupid to elect him because he's not who we think he is & they were right. But we were too arrogant to listen.

susan gerbes's avatar

too busy flapping them arms and elboz

Christine Barnett's avatar

Hmmmm. You might think that!

Donald Ashman writes, "If Canadians can be convinced to vote for a Party led by Justin Trudeau three times, they are certainly foolish enough to believe that the Americans are planning an attack."

Yes, exactly. Carney is amusing the Americans while making Canadian Boomers feel undeservedly important and happy to donate to his party, while rummaging for popguns in the closet.

And maybe he is persuading more Conservative MPs to give up and cross the floor? The bigger his majority, the easier it will be to institute authoritarian measures, especially those that do not typically interest those who vote for his party, like freedom of information. Those measures will be felt by those in opposition to his goals.

The decline of the value of the US dollar, incidentally, would surely tank our own currency. Any reduction in the ability of the US to defend the integrity of North America would see rapid encroachment on Canada by Russia and China, against which we would be helpless.

But then we should not assume that everyone in power in Canada today would be at all bothered by encroachment from China... There will be revelations.

If you are under 80 years old, you may live to see interesting times.

Christine Barnett's avatar

Although I continuous disagree with labelling boomers as a group (we’re not, I’m not, and I take offence), maybe use “certain” as an adjective.

But on the rest of your comments, I agree.

Our current and future generations , globally, are in for a real eye opener.

Denyse I O'Leary's avatar

Apologies again.

I wish someone could come up with a term that comprises the sort of Boomers we all know I am referring to. Carney Boomers? Elbows Uppers? What do you think?

The 81-year-old who thinks he could be part of a guerilla army against Trump (!) out on the woodlot when his neighbour has to drive him to the dentist and the barber and his son's factory closed and his grandson is working in the States...

KZwick's avatar

Elbownians!!

Thanks to Dilbert.

Christine Barnett's avatar

Carney Boomers! 👌perfect. 😉

Charlie202's avatar

The US could save a lot of money on invasion if they would just arrest Mark Carney and Diana Fox Carney next time they show up in the US and charge them with insider trading , fraud and corruption . Maybe they could share same jail as Nicolas Maduro and we could solve several issues.
